Have you attended any of the Steelers Super Bowls in person? Which one(s)?

Super Bowl XLIII for me. Luckily, my name came up in the Steelers lottery of Super Bowl tickets.

Lottery for XL. One of the first groups in the parking lot in the freezing Detroit cold. XL year I actually went to Cincy and then Indy since I live in Northwest Ohio and it wasn't that much of a trip. A couple of us began daring each other to go to Denver. Ended up leaving Friday late for Sunday game (drive). Dad called at the end of the game while we were still in the stadium to tell my sister and I we got the two tickets in the Lottery.

Paid up for XLIII. Worth every penny.

I went to Detroit but was outside the stadium watching it. I could not get tickets for what I could afford. But it was worth it to hear the Bus.

I imagine those tickets weren’t quite as hard to get and much cheaper than 6k.

The days when any fan could attend the big game.

    $30

My dad put into the lottery as I have every time. The tickets almost went to waste. My dad was a local doctor and drug companies kept sending him junk mail requiring a signature so you would think it was special. It pissed my dad off so he would ignore them. I came home to visit Friday night and had dinner. I said we hadn’t heard about tickets. Dad had an odd look and pulled the post office slip out of his pocket. The sender was in 15212 zip code. I said give me that. Saturday morning I went to the post office and got the tickets. I found one of my buddies and we drove straight to Miami. 2 other buddies went along just for the road trip but wound up buying tickets at kickoff below face value. I’m not even sure we bothered to pack clean underwear. We sure didn’t have a hotel.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda went to Detroit if only just to be in the area. Nowadays I will probably never attend unless I somehow become very wealthy. Roughly $10,000 for the game day experience just doesn't seem worth it.

If I got the tickets at face value through the lottery, I would find a way to go. But no, I would not pay the big bucks.

Plus, the games aren’t the same as being at a home game full of Steeler fans. That is exciting. At a SB there are about 7,000 Steeler fans at one end (they aren’t even good seats) and 7,000 at the other end from the other team. The rest are people who don’t really care but just had money to spend.

Super Bowl XLIII, I regretted not going to XL with my buddies so when it was in driving distance it was easy to pull the trigger. I don’t remember the cost from scalper but it was nowhere near what they go for today (hundreds vs thousands).

Yes I have, 1979 Steelers beat the hometown Rams in Rose bowl. I paid 30.00 dollars a ticket
and scalped another one for my brother for a $ 100.00. Now, an average working person can't even afford to go to
    the Superbowl.

My cousin went to XL and XLIII, I should of done it, and just spent the money but in my younger years it was tough to come up with that kind of coin.

XLIII wasn't really too bad ticket cost, that is when the Economy went to total poop of 2008-2009 and ticket prices fell hard that year.

My other cousin his brother went clear to Dallas to See XLV against Green Bay, and he bought a fake ticket from a scalper, a scalper whom he had bought many legit good tickets through to a lot of Steelers games.

He never again found that ticket scalper again.

Imagine shelling out huge dollars getting a ticket going to Dallas and having a bum ticket.

I'd throw up in a garbage can.
