My wife had never been to a game, so she hijacked a truck rep at her job for tickets. She enjoyed it. She enjoyed the (drunk) people watching more. When I was younger, the drunks were easier to tune out. Now, I have to admit, they get on my nerves. I'm certainly no prude. I used to like my beer as much as anyone. However, I could never understand why someone could get falling down drunk and then go in and watch a game and actually enjoy it. I saved my partying when I went for after the game. To each their own I suppose.

Also Not 2 be a prude, but I have never understood it either. Be it a concert, movie, or ball game of any sort. Some get so drunk they don't remember half of it.

Or they end up spending so much time going to and from the men's room they miss so much of the game.

Very little. Maybe a couple hundred. I’ve been to enough games. Super Bowl is the same with the addition of a terrible halftime show.

They'll all be singing about the same stuff that John Gruden got fired for.

Just speaking for myself. I know when a ref is going to call a timeout before he does. I’m already out of my seat and in an empty bathroom. Then I’m at an empty bar getting a beer. I’m back in my seat before the whistle blows to start play. About that time, everyone else is thinking “I have to pee”.

I went to SB X. Tickets were $20.

I don’t know what it is like now, but back in the day, if you waited for kickoff, tickets from outside vendors dropped to next to nothing. You just have to be willing to take the chance. I don’t think that will work in LA this year. Too many locals.

Yes and no. If your team is not in the SB the 1.2 percent are not made available to the season ticket holders. If your team is in the SB a fraction of the 17.5% are made available to season ticket holders by lottery. I’ve entered the lottery for every Steelers SB and got tickets once.

Every home game I can make, I and 65,000 of my closest friends disagree with you. I’ve had a season ticket going on 54 years, which will match how many years my dad made it. Mom made it about 40.

You miss so much of the game watching it on TV. Although, I’m lucky, I sit in club seats and seldom see an unruly drunk. The attendants are vigilant and do not tolerate shenanigans.

Used to get into college football games for free at halftime. Used to live about a mile from the Braves stadium. Would watch the first inning and then head to the stadium. Could buy tickets from scalpers for a couple dollars

Why was I lumped in this??
I Love it Live.... as I said...I just don't like the cold. It's why I live again in the south now.
Though I think Hockey is way better live than on TV.
There isn't a pro, or college sport I haven't seen live. Put it this way not one I can think of. From Baseball - Gymnastics.

I saw Tiger Woods play in Torry Pines back in 2007. I was about 50 feet or so (it was close) from him, that was kinda cool.

3 years ago my son and I went to Columbus Ohio to watch the PGA and Tiger shanked one on 11 that made it through the trees and landed no more than 5 feet from where we happened to be walking right along the golf path. There were about 6 of us standing there and someone said that's Tigers ball. It was a sea of people heading our way and we didn't move an inch until the officials told us back up a few feet. He was literally 6 feet away from us and hit a perfect shot back through the trees onto the green and still made par. I took a ton of pictures. I'm not huge into golf and don't even play but that was cool moment.

1994, or 95. I would have 2 dig out a video tape for a for sure date. If I even have one 2 my last fight. I have some , but not all of them.

It's so far out of my price range that I would never consider going to one. I think it's ok to spoil ourselves, but to that far out of my means is idiotic.

Similarly, I sat behind Arnold Palmer on the first tee of his last US Open.

    Unfortunately he shanked it.

I live in the south east (not expensive area). I make plenty of money and will retire at 55. There is no way I would pay that much for a game. If I was going to splurge I would get tickets to a AFC championship game they are a hell of a lot cheaper and in my opinion gives you the same win or go home experience. Also I would prefer it be a home game surrounded by Steeler fans versus the super bowl which is a neutral site.
