Wooden with 16 years of front office experience with the JETS kind of scares me. Like the other two candidates though. Both those organizations seem to do well for the most part every season.

Yeah, but wasn’t Wooden there when they averaged 5 wins per year, not 4 wins per year?

Dodds for sure. Colts have been killing it in the draft.

I’m betting the hire will be internal.

As long as he doesn't have a tattoo of Mark Sanchez' name I'm willing to hear out his personal judgment separate from the Jets organization.

I'll put money on the University of Maryland or Virginia's Athletic Director.

A rather safe bet. None of these outside candidates appear appealing and seem to be just interviews to meet the quota. I think Hunt will be our next GM.

It will be Omar or Hunt. The later would be my choice and theirs too

Brandon Hunt > any of them.

Having one Hall of Fame savant act as a teacher is one thing. Having two?! That is a treasure trove of knowledge at one's disposal. Most importantly and, contrary to popular belief, just because the basics and fundamentals of what constitutes as a Steelers Player should not be changed does not forbid changes in other methods; preferences as one would call.

Many of the staples for what is expected from these rookies will still be in place. It is the more finite aspects that Hunt will imprint his own stamp on. This is not accounting for Free Agency either.

I don’t want anyone in house. Get an external candidate to ride Tomlins a**.

I like Ed Dodds' resume but let's not kid ourselves. This will be as exhaustive as our DC "search" was.

Hunt will get the job or both Hunt and Kahn will share the job.

I just want to say that Kevin Colbert is a HoF GM. That HoF seat will be harder to replace than the HoF QB we lost.

    Yep.

All the more reason that Brandon Hunt needs to be his successor. He has worked with Bill Nunn before already. Having worked alongside Kevin Colbert??... that is even better.

An issue for us as fans deciding who we want is that, unless the candidate has actually been the decision maker and established a track record to evaluate, we never really know how much of their teams’ personnel success, or lack of success, was due to the candidate’s role in the process. Even where Hunt is concerned, yeah he worked with Nunn and Colbert, but it doesn’t mean that he has learned enough from them to lead the process successfully.

I guess we’ll see what happens.

If they hire a talking head, the Steelers will become the Pirates within five years.
