The name was removed altogether. You can't cancel one franchise. The NFL would have to be cancelled. Only the Redskins name could be cancelled and it was.

 

That would be awesome. I would them paint an S on the side so people could say, "look at that S-car go."

No, it's simply quantifying how much I dislike the new name by declaring that a generic name like "Washington Football Team" is preferable to "Commanders".

Washington Pigskins. It's football. It's the 'Skins. The fans dressed like hogs still work. So many choices better than Commanders.

Also, DC teams shorten their names: Capitals are the Caps, Wizards are the Wiz and Nationals are the Nats. So, now we have the Commies, which does work but...
