Not that anyone felt this had a good chance to happen but you can scratch the Steelers off the Watson sweepstake. You can bet the Rooneys feel the same way as the Maras.

I wish someone would sign Aaron Rodgers so I don’t have to listen to people talking about him coming here. He is long of tooth and also a jagoff. Realistically, if Pickett or Howell are there at #20, I bet there are some interesting discussions in the Steelers draft room. I seriously doubt that either will be there, however. I would not hate it if they traded down and got extra picks, and used that to get a younger Dline and better Oline, and maybe a good ILB. They have an unusual number of holes to fill, for a team that made the playoffs and won the division a year previously.
My money says “The Guy” will not be available in this draft. I bet they let Haskins and Reindeer battle it out, maybe bring in another low risk high reward guy, like the Steelers do. Maybe a Josh Rosen, who has the physical gifts but has not developed. I looked it up, and incredibly Rosen is still only 24 years old, 1 1/2 years younger than the reindeer! Yes he has not stuck, but he is still awfully young and has no bargaining power. Anyway, if a guy like that makes it you look like a genius. If he doesn’t, no one expects much anyway.

Josh Rosen?! You deserve a surprise defenestration for even mentioning that bum.

1st. On a scale of 1 to Die Hard wanting Rosen to be one of our QBs with a chance to start is just a Charles Barkley.

I have been saying since his Jr year he would be a good fit for the Steelers.

Of the possible realistic QBs already in the league, meaning Watson, Rodgers, and Wilson are unrealistic, Trubisky is the player I would kick the tires, if Carr costs too much draft capital. For me, it's Jimmy G, Trubisky, then Rudolph. The question is do the Steelers use a 2nd rd. pick on a Howell or Willis-type QB if one drops to the second round, knowing that the 2023 draft class may produce a better franchise QB opportunity. This is why I take a shot with Trubisky competing with Rudolph in 2022 and improve other parts of the roster.

No mention of Mason :lolol:, I guess Najee saw enough of Rudolph in that Detroit game.

Well, Rudolph is already there. They don’t have to “go after” him.

And I'm sure the Jaguars are willing to just give him right up.

If he had confidence in Mason, he wouldn't be talking about bringing in other QBs.

This is at least twice now, a player has made reference to “bringing in someone to compete”.

And there is 100% chance they will bring someone in to compete. A free agent and not a trade most likely.

Truly off topic and... will not happen but..

Let's assume that the Jacksonville Jaguars keep Trent Baalke and Trevor Lawrence has had enough. Demands a trade soon thereafter. Would the Steelers be big players in that hypothetical sweepstakes?

At the very least... I would hope that Kevin Colbert would entertain that idea. Again, not happening but interesting development though in Jacksonville to keep an eye on.

Why would any decent free agent QB sign with the Steelers considering the O-line is terrible?

Yeah, won't happen... but I still very much believe in that kid. I'd give up quite a bit for him.

As would I. Not happening for sure but I do feel bad for him. Just... yikes!!!

Having Trent Baalke as an NFL GM is bad. Having someone stand behind him in the likes of Shahid Kahn??... Even worse!!!

    Not then.
I looked it up before on My kindle because I read it in a Horror story I read awhile ago. If You read books on a Kindle ....If You come across a word that You may not know , or are interested in where it comes from....You can just hold Your finger on the word, and the dictionary will automatically look it up.
So yes I looked it up just not then.

For all you wishing for Jimmy Garoppolo, the 49ers losing was probably the best thing to happen.
