I liked Grey Mountain because it was different from his usual stuff. I did finish Crawdads. Kinda saw it coming…..

I'm reading another Horror fiction from during WW2 . I don't know why but I like them. It's called the Keep by F. Paul Wilson.

By any chance did they make a movie about it. Could be wrong but The Keep was one of the first movies me and the little woman watched when we first got married. Long time ago but I remember that title and I think we got it for like 5 dollars on VHS. Memory could be way off.

Yes they did, but of course it just barely resembles the book. I haven't seen that movie in a long freaking time.

When I first saw this post, I misread it as "John Gruden" and was like, wow.

I want to start reading again. I Feel like I've been watching waaay too much tv.

I was given a couple of books from a friend by the author Haruki Murakami. Anyone here read anything or are familiar with him? He's definitely received some interesting reviews....

Not I. I read everyday, and have for as long as I can remember. I basically read Horror, Scifi, and Fantasy . Though I do also read a lot of History also. Almost every piece of music I have ever written comes from books I've read.

I think Murakami has some trippy fantasy elements to it? I really like all those genre's you mentioned, but I also like gritty stuff that's somewhat based in reality.

The two books i have are "Kafka on the Shore" and "A Wild Sheep Chase" The 2nd one is part of a trilogy, but they can all be read by themselves. I haven't decided which one to read 1st.

I'm actually pretty exited to start them though!

Well read them, and let us know. I might pick them up if You say they turn out good.
2 Be honest. Right now I'm rereading old Anne Rice books . After She died in December I thought I would reread Interview with a Vampire which I haven't read since way back, and I'm now on the 4th book The Tale of the Body Theif. LoL. I never liked the movies, but I'm quite caught up in these rereads. Matter of fact I've written an Instrumental from one I haven't recorded yet. Still trying 2 beat out the ruff spots.
Anyways....Let Me know how those books go.

    Will do!

I actually read all of those AR books many years ago! I thought they were great! I marathon read the first few in that series when I was sick with the flu. But i remember how I liked how the story shifted from Louis to Lestat after the 1st book. I also read a few of her books that weren't in that series. She had great original writing style.

Any of you guys and gals enjoy psychological thriller books like The Girl on the Train, The woman in the window, etc. etc.??????

If so you may enjoy the new Netflix miniseries called, "The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window". Yes that is the title. It is a black parody of all those type books with some horror movie junk added in.

I actually finally read Dune for the first time in my life. Loved it. I'm reading a collection of short stories in the W40K universe right now, and after that I'll probably read the 2nd Dune book.

I highly recommend "The Pillars of the Earth" Shorter and more intense is "Eye of the Needle"
