If you hit the lottery you can bribe Munchak to come back. Fingers crossed.

Munchak should seriously be considered for a HC position if he was interested in it. Everyone who's every played with the guy has said he's an amazing leader. He usually gets the most out of his players. He may have zero interest in that...he seems to consider Denver his home. Maybe he'll retire.

He went there to be close to family and may well settle for the job as OLine coach rather than moving on

I don’t know why he would come back to Pittsburgh, not sure the players are there to put a line together. He had two borderline HOF players in Pouncey and Decastro the last time he took the job. Is anybody on the current line even league average? What would he have to work with?

Of course, if he wants to be OL coach again. Who knows if he does. Will be 62 in March.

I said it in another thread

I find out what his daughter and son in law do and I throw money at them to come work in western PA

Then I just financially consider that part of Munchaks salary

Crazy? Yes.. but just crazy enough to work.

Otherwise I think he just retires

He would have his hands full with this line, but I'd take him. If nothing else, he could create some stability with his coaching plus another year's experience for our young linemen will help a lot.

Or a less expensive route is to say you don't need to show up until August so spend 5 months with the family work 4 for us then back to Denver

I would love to have him back and hated to lose him the first time. He was irreplaceable and we've had a hole their ever since. However, I highly doubt he would ever come back. Why would he want to come back and deal with all of the behind the scenes drama that never ends here, which reading between the lines, sounds like there may have been more to him leaving and taking a lateral position in Denver, the offical line was he left to be closer to family. Munchak always takes the high road, a true stand up guy that players love playing for, much like Dick Lebeau. He should have been offered a contract extension and promotion to OC in my opinion.

How was Den’s OL after 3yrs of Magic Mike’s touch? My impression is that it was no great shakes, but maybe someone can convince me otherwise.

I love all of you that think if you just throw money at him he will want to come back. He moved to Colorado for a reason, and it was family.
