    Which means he was under contract until 2024.

    This means he can't coach again for 2 years without problems with Tampering Rules. AKA, he is not allowed to go to Dallas.

    With Payton retiring, McCarthy having been fired, and Carroll on the hot seat the "what about" fallacies are becoming fewer and fewer for Tomlin's minions.
