It's a pretty bad list. Ben should be higher than Eli. Staubach should be higher than Aikman. Etc.

Ben has as many playoff berths as Eli has playoff games played. That list is a joke. That .500 QB who is statistically slightly worse than Joe Flacco has no business being discussed in the same tier as Ben. If this was just SB performances I could understand but Ben's career overshadows the younger Manning's.

    1. Brady.
    2. Montana
    3. Peyton
    4. Bradshaw
    5. Roethlisberger
    6. Starr
    7. Staubach
    8. Elway (Broncos cheated the cap hard during his second ring)
    9. Aikman
    10. Eli
    11. Griese
    12. Plunkett

I give Ben more cache than Starr or Staubach because he had his entire career when the salary cap and free agency were well established.

I like how they dismiss one of Manning's wins with a different team by highlighting "Led", But don't mention how many times Brady had the defense to lean on and get him back in the game!

I mean The defense last year manhandled the Chiefs! Look at what almost happened last week! Defense almost let him come back and win that one!

When he gets to Canton, Ben can ask Bradshaw for an autographed jersey.

That entire piece is crap. Rank made at least one big factual error, claiming that Griese was the only quarterback on the list who never won a Super Bowl MVP award. Roethlisberger never won one, either. Given that the news peg is Roethlisberger's retirement, that's a big screw up.

More importantly, the criteria is unclear. Is it based only on the player's performance in Super Bowls? Their entire careers? A bit of both? Regardless, Roethlisberger belongs ahead of Eli Manning, who had no business winning Super Bowl MVP in his first appearance. The Giants' defense won that game.

    SPOILER

    It was Doug Williams.

(It wasn't, but in terms of superbowl performance alone I'd put him there)

Still remember that one. First qtr. Denver looked they would run away with it but 2nd qtr. Williams went crazy. Don't remember amount of points but I think it was a SB record for most points scored in one qtr.

Without crossing different eras, I think Wilbon pretty much sums it up.

Ben roethlisberger 69 rating 642 yards 3 tds 5 int in 3 super bowl games.

Ben is not that good in the big game lol but to be fair the first one skewed his stats pretty bad

Williams threw 4 TD's in the second quarter as the Redskins racked up 35 points that quarter. During the Super Bowl media day that week some idiot reporter asked Williams how long has he been a black quarterback and Williams replied "I've been playing QB since High School and I've been black all of my life".

Numbers aren't everything. While Brady is, in fact, a cloven hoofed barnyard animal, Montana never lost a SB. No INTs in the SB. Never lost to Eli or Foles!

Starr should be higher. He was actually the QB of a 3-peat, when the 1965 NFL championship is included with SB I and II.

Ben is a better QB than Eli for sure, but what is the criteria? Is this just SB performances or this an entire career for those with 2 SB's or more? Those are two very different rankings.

These lists are stupid. They're written by the same idiots who claim Cleveland has won the last five off-season championships.

By far, Brady is the worst quarterback to win 7 Super Bowls, I don't know how this is even a debate.

Eli is not better than Ben. By whatever measure you use, you have to include the number of trips to the Super Bowl. Ben is part of the win at least 2 been to at least 3 club. You may, as part of a great team, make it to 1 and yet be a liability for your team. See Dilfer. But to be a part of a team that went to 3, that's top notch. And the super bowl MVP is ridiculous too. Ben should've been MVP in SB43. Give him a healthy Hines Ward or at least no fumble from Mendy and he may have been MVP of SB45.

Eli did play better in 2 superbowls. Ben was terrible in the first 1.

I agree that Roethlisberger should have been the MVP of Super Bowl 43. I'm not sure he was that close in Super Bowl 45. Even if the Steelers had come all the way back, I had no faith in the defense stopping Rodgers. His numbers were spectacular. The only thing that kept the Steelers close was the Packers dropped too many passes.

Also, was Ward hurt for that one, too? I don't remember. He was limited by injury in Super Bowl 43, but I don't think that was the case in 45.
