What has Morgan accomplished to make him a good candidate? You don't know if any of the in house guys can't do the job.

I don't think the guys in house will say no to Tomlin.

They will work together like Colbert/Tomlin I assume.

You know what they say, "When you assume we get stuck with a mobile QB, a FB-TE hybrid, a "big nickel" project at S, an obese punter, and a CB with a poignant back story." That's just what they say. Don't shoot the messenger.

I'd imagine the Rooney's knew what KC's intentions were going to be for some time now and prepared accordingly. At least have their candidates picked out to interview. Most organizations have a succession planning team that do this for many positions within the administrative portion of the organization. JMO>

Then they are not the right candidate to hire. Nothing worse than having a bunch or yes men running around. JMO>

I agree. Even if someone is wrong they might bring up a point that hadn't been considered by having a debate.

    This.

All the more reason I want Brandon Hunt to be the guy. Not saying Omar Kahn has such a level of arrogance to him but Hunt has been far more involved with the Draft Process than others are giving him credit for. In addition, he did study under Bill Nunn himself; a scouting savant.

Having one HOF teacher is already a blessing in disguise. Two though in Hunt's case??? Hard for me to envision a scenario in which the Steelers do not roll with Hunt moving forward.

Turns out most GM contracts run through the draft. Not only because the year of work put in.. but because teams don't want their guy to go get hired by another team and take their scouting info and big board with them

Keep Colbert through the draft, he has been out watching players this past season, he knows what this team needs.

our so called new GM, colbert and tomlin did this. bush. now a need for a qb. i'm not so sure it should be left in their hands. so many don't work out but we keep trotting them onto the field game after game with the same results far too long before we make a change. is it their ego's getting in the way? so another team has our big board if colbert leaves. with the internet and scouting services there isn't a great deal of unknown secrets on any of these guys that , that would make much difference. maybe they should give these other teams our big boards. it might help us.
