We could do worse than Teryl Austin for an in house replacement but it's Tomlin's defense anyway.

Stubbornness is making this franchise stale.

I'm not sure they can go to that well twice however if he turns up in seattle in the near future you may be on to something

The DB coach and then Austin to "help" him and then Hillard and Morgan

Thats one way to have Tomlin not be the coach anymore focusing on his GM duties.

    Surprise, surprise.

All these coaches available and they will still likely go "safe"

I'd be interested. How many draft picks would we have to give Vegas for them to take him?

The last 2 trades we made with them they got Martavus Bryant and AB. Colbert raped them. Do you really think they'll ever trade with Colbert again? Lol

Considering they just fired their GM, perhaps he'd be the HC/GM there... lol...

    JK... not gonna happen

I'm sick of the fake "retiring" if you want to fire him, fire his a$$.

What's the need to fire? His contract is expiring. Don't resign him and move on.

Sorry, Steelers Depot had "retire" in quotes as if it was just for show. Yeah, I guess just move on then...

At one point I was a Keith defender, but if Tomlin is just calling the D it doesn't matter if Butler is here or not. Unless Butler can give you something in overall player development?

They went to Kevin Gilbride after that. And then went in house with Mike Mularkey as OC. One of the times promoting from within was a good decision.

What is the maximum acceptable age for a defensive coordinator for this team?

Actually for some time we have witnessed the 3-??? D. Look good for 2 downs then implode on 3rd and long.

No one in football ever talks about fear except Tomlin. Hmm. It's weird that the least afraid guy talks about fear the most.

Yeah Tomlin should just call the defense and cut out the middle man. He would have to take responsibility though instead of us guessing about who is making which decision.

Bend but don't break is the epitome of living in your fears. It's playing not to lose. It's playing afraid you might give up a big play.

Sure, there are situations when that can be the appropriate call. But not all the damned time.
