Do you take Mike Munchak back as the O-Line coach?

With Fangio out in Denver, I am going to assume that the new Head coach will want to name his own Assistant Head Coach. I don't know if Munchak would stay in Denver as just the O-Line coach.

This would mean that Munchak could be looking for a new job in a few weeks when Denver announces their new Head Coach.

In a heartbeat. I'd even take him as OC.

    Alas, not gonna happen.

They should do everything they can to get Munchak back. Pay him whatever he wants. Hell give him TJ Watt money. He is worth every penny.

Well maybe not TJ Watt money, but you get the point.

He could very well be retained in Denver depending on who they hire.

I think the Mike Munchak era in Pittsburgh has come and gone.

If he wants to stay close to family, he would probably just retire.

All I am saying with the O-Line coach job opening in Pittsburgh, a phone call of a guaranteed Job next year, could seem pretty good when you future is completely unknown.

“I met with the coaches, and I met with our team,” Broncos general manager George Paton said during his end-of-season press conference on Jan. 9. “I explained to the coaches, and they know the process. It’s going to be up to the new head coach if they’re retained. If someone [another team] asks for permission to speak with them, we’ll certainly speak with them on a case-by-case basis.”

And, did Denver also remove him from being their Assistant Head Coach Title on their web site?

I have a better chance to hit the lottery than for Mike Munchak to come back to the Steelers under Mike Tomlin.

Wonder why Denver wouldn’t give him the HC shot?

Is Peyton the new owner yet?

Of course, the Steelers should take him back if he would be willing to return, but that seems very unlikely.

Not only would I bring in Fangio as DC. . I would bring in Munchak
as OLINE Coach. But I would find out what his daughter and son in law do for a living and hire them . Even if I have to start whatever business they work in

That would be quite the pairing in Fangio as DC and Munchak as OC.

I am now leaning toward offering Munchak the OC to get him back to Pittsburgh, rather than see another year with Canada.

I would think they would take him back in a second but Munch was interviewed for Denvers HC position before settling for coaching their line, he very well may get promoted.

Denver has stated they will not be promoting from within. I guess he could always go to the OC.

I still say Denver hires Nathaniel Hackett as Head Coach to bring in Aaron Rodgers.

You need his kids in PA. He will retire before leaving them... they are the only reason he left Pittsburgh

Apparently there is a competition where Peyton is in one camp and Elway in the other and once the dust settles the league has to vote on the sale. Im sure that will complicate the coaching search

Unless, it's a coach like Tomlin. Who, doesn't bring in any of his own staff

Does anybody really think MM wants to go back to reporting to Tomlin?

Peyton Manning doesn't have 5 billion to buy the Broncos.

That is funny. Putting the Cart before the horse here.

I just read about how there will be an auction to determine the winning bidder to buy the Broncos; the trustees are saying they will have to sell the team to the highest bidder.

So, the plans are to first hire a new head coach and then have the auction after that. What happens if the new owners don't want to keep the new head coach?
