Been a heck of a ride. Gave us fans a lot of wins, lot of amazing plays, lot of excitement and a lot of indigestion!

But he’s been awesome, you always felt you had a chance with Ben. Every season I felt a SB was a realistic goal even when other pieces were missing because he was that good.

Father Time loses to no one and he came knocking for Ben. Ben tried to put him off for another season but he just didn’t have it anymore. The warrior in him still miraculously got them to the playoffs. No, he didn’t do it by himself, didn’t put the team on his shoulders like in years past but came through enough to squeak out just enough wins for one more playoff game.

Sadly, there was nothing left in the tank tonight but he never quit, he’s a competitor to the end.

Wish he could have went out with a better game for his sake and ours but it was fun while it lasted.

Thank you, Ben. The HOF awaits you.

    Ditto.
Named my first dog in '05 Ben. Sadly had to put him down in 2020 at 15. My other dog 17 same day. His name was Elway.

My two QB GOATS! Thanks Ben!

Agree Thanks Ben. I remember the years of O’Donnell, Brister, Stewart and Malone and dread going back to it! Appreciate the last 18 years.

What a weird and crazy love/hate ride. Your questionable off-field decision making earlier in your career really made it tough. Which is why I've kept the greaseball Ben as my avatar for so many years as a reminder. But you endured and always gave your all. You are the greatest Steelers QB ever and I'm both sad to see it end but happy for you to start the next chapter in your life and invest your time and energy fully into your family. Vaya con Dios Ben.

Been a heck of a ride, glad to have you and the great times that went with it. Don't be a stranger we'll keep a light on. Thanks for everything. Like the man says I've been up and down and over and out but each time I find myself down on my face I pick myself up and get back in the race. That's life.

Thanks, Ben. You were a warrior and will no doubt be enshrined in Canton in 5 years. Your career was a great one by any standard. But…there was more there for the taking and I think you’d be the first to admit that.

On a personal level, I’m glad you were able to get your life under control after a tumultuous and reckless first few years in the league. You have a beautiful family…now go enjoy your retirement and spending time with your wife and kids. In the grand scheme of things, that is more important than anything you ever did on the football field.

I remember all those years before Ben ... wishing we had "that QB."

And then in 2004 we finally got him, and it was a hell of a ride.

    Thank you #7!!!!!

Ben was a player who kept going and eventually made everyone a believer. His play from 2014-2018 confirmed he was an elite QB. The totality of his career leaves no doubt Ben will be a HOF and likely first ballot.

I love it if only for the pun. I didn't read anything beyond the first word but I know it's nothing but praise.

I'm glad we had a HOFer with this longevity.

    Been ( hahaha ) great!
