The reports of our death have been greatly exaggerated. Again.

agreed. We still have a good chacne to make the playoffs. And if Ben can come back by then, ya never know. Win one against baltimore and we are in I think.

On ESPN First Take the other day, 3 out of 4 of them chose the Steelers to win this week. I didn't get their predictions on the rest of the season as a whole though.

Lefty will be able to drive this offense down the field and score. Running game should be better. We still have Wallace, Sanders, and Miller on the field.

Our Defense's job hasn't changed. We still need ST to play well. Haven't lost at home this season. No reason for that to change.

I think Rainey's injury might've hurt our ST more than we can say. Also AB is out too. I'm not real comfortable with Gilreath. Is he playing this week?

Ugggh - even Hines Ward has given the eulogy fo the Steelers this season. I say let them count the Steelers out. Let them fill up the newspapers and Sports magazines with commentary that the Steelers are done - and let every one of those articles go up on the bulletin board in the Steelers locker room. I hope the Steelers coaching staff makes a DVD of every talking head that says the Steelers are done and play it over and over again through the airwaves as they practice and get ready to play on Sunday night. I think the Steelers should be inundated with every negative thing that is said and written that claims that for some reason there aren't 52 other players on this team. Put chips on ever shoulder of every player from now until January. This could be a real dangerous team going into the post season if that happens.

Its to late. Bayless already has us at least splitting with the Ravens and making the playoffs. Lets hope he's not the jinx you claim.

there are two perspectives here, first is the immediate game with the Rats, second and most important is how we will do the remainder of the season. We all want to beat the Rats, simply because they are the Rats, it our house, etc, etc. With Ben in the line up, it's not like this game would have been a breeze, God knows the KC game should have been, but that's just not their style. Therefore, I say the most important byline is how we do the rest of the season. Of course, beating the Rats will go far to convince all that we are still the team to beat in the AFC North. As a fan, I have trust in Tomlin and team that they will play winning football, enough to clinch a playoff berth. Perhaps the #2 seed is too much to ask, perhaps. But get Ben back in a few weeks and win out for #7, that is the ultimate goal. Truth is, they can lose to the Rats and still accomplish that goal, but it would be a hell of a lot more fun if they crush 'em.
