9 hour drive. I'd fall asleep 5 times on the way and 10 times on the way back and that's no lie.

    I know. I know. I'm a wuss.:frown:

I’m not that familiar with this boat. I’m hoping it has a satellite dish so I can see the game

A lot of people do. I just prefer to remember it the way it was in the early 80s.

I should have guessed by the green shamrock hat lol. I thought the Irl in your name meant in real life. I'm not always the most observant. I always wondered if Ireland is wet and gloomy, sounds like it's pretty true. Although Pittsburgh weather can often be like that too.

It’s not that bad, summers are nice and the winters are wet, we don’t get the cold and snow that ye get very often though. Overall it is a fantastic place to live.

Definitely will visit Pittsburgh, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Grew up in the town of Castle Shannon in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. They had green fire trucks and police cars. That's the closest I've gotten to Ireland but did re-watch The Commitments a few nights ago. Great flick which I'm sure depicts the Hibernian Isle perfectly (dating myself a bit). :drinks:

In the fall of 2019 my wife and I had dinner with her sister. She said she was planning a trip to Ireland. My wife hates to travel. She pretty much is a homebody. I said I'm in. Then covid hit. So, a bunch of us are going to go eventually, just not sure when. Can't wait. Her sister has been there before and loved it.

We kind of have to put up with the networks wanting the Steelers on prime-time TV. I get it but, it would be nice if they would be on Saturday night. I'll survive Monday morning. Coffee and Mt. Dew will get me by. By 10:00 a.m., I'll be fine.

Difference being, you're there on vacation and I'm there working. My disgust was complete in the late 90s when the same two guys would ask me, weekly, if I wanted to buy cocaine. At 0900. in the Aramburo supermarket parking lot.......

I have not been there, yet. After two years of being on Covid hold, My wife and I were just thinking we need to go somewhere, and somewhere warm.

Generally, I like less tourist places and I’m thinking that’s not Puerto Vallarta?

Vallarta is touristy but, you can get away from town pretty easily. Into the jungle. The center of town is picturesque. Cobblestone streets, malecon, it gets crowded but, not overwhelming. Depending what you like to do, there's not a lot of vastly overpriced golf courses and the fishing isn't as good. If you've ever been to Cozumel, they're similar.

Well the good or bad news is if the game is anything like last time (except now they have Kelce) you can probably go to sleep around 9:30

Fortunately, my company director is a big Bears fan so he understands what my priorities are.

I told him if Chicago actually manage to make the playoffs again, I’m more than happy to cover him!

11-12 foot bull shark went right by our boat in Cozumel. Probably only 6-7 feet down, super clear water. One magnificent fish!!!!!!!

I’m a bit bummed as I planned on taking my 18 yr old son. He is home from college and I have the day off Monday; however, I started feeling bad Wed and tested positive for Covid.

We’ve seen games vs the Titans in Nashville but only one @ Heinz Field. It was Christmas night when the Steelers beat the Ravens and won the North. We tailgated with Jordan Berry’s family and it was funny to see how cold they were as it was 100 degrees in their home town in Australia.

Did you ever make trips out of PV to San Sebastián, El Tuito, Mascota or Talpa de Allende?
