The cheapest my wife saw here in Pittsburgh at PPG Paints Arena were $250. I'm a casual fan of the band, she really wants to see them. I told her to get tickets if she wants to see them that bad. I don't think she wants to see them that bad, lol.

BTW, a member here (I can't remember who) said they have been to KC and that the stadium is a dump? I know it's older but seems to represent well on TV. Is it really that bad?

I made a vow years ago I would not go back 2 KC for a Steelers game. Everytime I go there.....every freaking time....We have lost. So...No.

I've never been a huge Eagles Fan but consider them extremely talented. Their music just never really appealed to me. Kind of like I feel about the Moody Blues. The wife loves them so we went and saw a cover band which turned out to be a really good show.

I should probably get her tickets for her birthday for the upcoming tour. At least we would get a hotel and well you know. Would be a good time for sure.

I've been to over 600 concerts. I really like a very wide range of music. Happy to say I was able to see SRV 5 times in concert. The moment I heard he died I had to pull off the road to gather my thoughts for probably 20 minutes.

Don't know if you ever had the chance to see him live but what an incredible guitarist he was. Seen him from the second row one time and my jaw was on the floor from the opening note to the encore. Also saw him and Eric Clapton on the same bill. Holy smokes was that a great show.

Weather must be scaring people off, I'll have to look not worth sitting in stands if I can't get on bottom tier for a good price though

This sounds bad...., but I remember feeling relief when I misheard....thinking they said Steve Vai. I was working, and it came over the radio. I was like shut up everyone. What did they just say.
I know that's terrible. I Like SRV, but not like I did Vai at that time. Plus I'd only seen SRV once....I'd seen Vai 3 times.

In this day and age of everybody wanting a new stadium, I'm surprised they get by with it.

Music is one of those things that isn't debatable - it either appeals to you or doesn't. Sometimes you come around to liking music you didn't in the past and other times the opposite. This will make your day though 86Ward, I saw SRV 1 time at the Forum in LA probably back in the late 70's(?) - guess who he opened up for? The Moody Blues believe it or not. Huge fan of Moodies since mid 60's and later Justin Hayward as a solo act. That was first time I ever even heard of SRV and he absolutely brought the house down as a warm up act. :thumbs up:

I just saw an ad for Eagles in Pittsburgh. For a moment I thought about it. Then I figured by this stage of their careers they may not be very good. I don’t my last memory of them being a bad one.

Maybe I’m living in my fears :smiley1:

The wife was saying Glenn Frye's son is touring with the band. Vince Gill, I suppose to do the harmonies. I don't think Randy Mesiner is doing this tour. The wife said it is rather well known that he suffers from stage fright. I'd be more inclined to go if they would do some James Gang stuff, and some of Joe Walsh's solo music, too.

Yeah, that sucked. I was at work when it came over the radio. Generational talent and he'd just gotten his life together. Really sad.

There is a guy that isn't well known that I'd like to see by the name of Jr. Brown. He primarily plays country music, like real country music not the modern pop stuff. But he also plays surf music and classic rock. The guy is in his 60's and man can he shred. I'm not necessarily a C&W fan but people who have seen him say he is incredible live and they have seen him multiple times.

I saw Derek Trucks with the ABB at Atlanta Music Festival in the 90's when he was 14 years old. 50,000 + people there and he tore it up with Dicky Betts, Gregg Allman, Warren Haynes, Alan Woody, Marc Quinones and Butch Trucks. Later that year I saw him at Variety Playhouse, 1700 people and his mom bought pizza for as many people as they could feed for his 15th birthday party. We all sang Happy Birthday to a 15 year old shredder. His mom happened to be 2 rows directly behind me. LOL. Good times.
