Same. I predicted 9 or 10 wins but no playoff wins. After we blow out KC in KC I will be back to gladly eat crow.

Why do I feel I'm in a battle of wits with Michael and Dwight?

I’ll eat it if they win the wildcard game. I thought the Steelers would win today. Didn’t think the Jags would win. I’ll never complain about making the playoffs, just maybe the outcome.

The Steelers had their share of misfortune this season, too.

I’m sorry but just because they (barely) won a couple for the Gipper and I couldn’t be more happy doesn’t mean I feel like we are world beaters.

Yes, granted, totally bonkers amazing and a close to perfect way to send Ben out against some equally struggling division rivals in Ben’s last homer vs. the turds and last reg season game against the Baltimoron Ratbirds where it all started.

I’ll gladly (and hopefully) eat crow if we somehow beat KC next week.

    Then ya got me…

I always said any given Sunday, and even referenced the jags win over buffalo..... But to be honest, that was a half hearted reference at best and I had no real hope of them beating the colts...... I will take my crow baked for breakfast...... Broiled for lunch and fried for dinner

people seem to forget we had one tough schedule this year. 2 wins over two good conference opponents, beat the top seed in the afc, beat the bills in buffalo, tied a team that just beat the top team in the nfc and lost to three teams that made the playoffs. four losses to playoff teams and one to a team that missed by 2 seconds. yea it was an up and down season but with the youth on this team and new players all around, i think we did fairly well.

My point was if you look at the division records, it's exactly the order of how the teams finished this year. And the goal is to get to the playoffs. Once you're there, all bets are off. Generally the team that gets on a hot streak and stays healthiest. With covid, that could be huge.

I'll eat my crow. I just didn't think this team could win 8 games, let alone 9 plus making the playoffs. I really don't understand it. They looked awful and inept 90% of the season and found ways to pull out wins in the 4th, even in games down by as many as 21. Some credit really needs to go to Tomlin. Yes they looked unprepared and undisciplined, but damn this team plays for him. Despite what others and myself feel about him, this is probably his best year of coaching the Steelers.

    Please deep-fry that damn crow.

Except for Buffalo, the good teams crushed us. Bengals twice, Packers, KC, Chargers. Even Vikes mopped the floor with us.

Defense needs to play exceptional on Sunday. Offense cannot hang with KC.

Watt better not have re-injured his groin or they are dead.

Except for Buffalo. Well, and the Titans. and Baltimore, who would have won the division if they had beaten us twice. And Cleveland, who would have won the division if they had beaten us twice.
Chargers beat us by four on the last drive of the game.
    Vikes beat us by eight.
Packers beat us by 10, which coincidentally was the number of points an incorrect offsides call cost us at the end of the first half.
I'm trying to figure, do we only lose to bad teams and beat the good teams, or do we continually lose to bad teams, in which case, since we can't beat good teams, we should be drafting first every year.

You shouldn't put such a high value on catching up to lose by fewer points after being down 20. Multiple games the Steelers were out of by half time. Teams use a bend but don't break approach in these instances to take time off the clock and minimizing the opponents' offensive possessions. For example the Vikings were up by 4 possessions going into the 4th so they played off coverages.

Still counts... you can say the defenses played soft prevent.... but then why was their offenses throwing INTS.

Only halt the team went soft and the other half was still playing hard?

The Steelers win 9 game...7 in the 4th quarter or OT... so don't count the come back lossrs? The NFL counts the comeback wins.

Crow eater here! Very surprised we got in the playoffs. I don't see a dominate team in the AFC this year so I won't be more surprised if we win it all this year. Go Ben!
