They most likely get their asses handed to them next week but they defied odds reaching the playoffs so who knows.

I just hope Watt is healthy or they don’t stand a chance. He wasn’t the same after the knee to his nuts.

Peyton Manning was terrible the year the Broncos won with him. Our defense isn't that good but that's the comparison I think of.

I'll allow myself a little pie in the sky optimism here while the good vibes are still lingering:

We've already won against the #1 and #3 seeds. So anything is possible. As sloppy as they've been, a play here or there, and this team could be 11-6. I know you can say that about a lot of teams, but the point is that the difference between teams is often razor thin. KC scares the hell out of me. The rest? It's not doom and gloom. Get past KC, and anything is possible. (Tall order, I know)

Yeah, the stars have to align just right. But they did for us to even be here in the first place.

I'm not expecting anything. But I have a lot of hope.

And they got absolutely smoked by the Colts in the regular season. I honestly thought there was no way in hell they win in Indy.

I don’t care how Ben Stunk early in the game. He brought his magic when it counted. Beware KC.

    we got this!

KC with that quick strike offence is a disastrous draw for the Steelers, we don’t have the tools to get in to a shootout. Will need KC to lay an egg

They’d have more than a punchers chance with any of the other AFC teams

They beat a Steeler team with an injured Ben and no AB or Bell, a Patriot team where Tom Brady was their leading rusher (13 yds) and was 27 of 56 with two interceptions, and Cam Newton in an absolutely cowardly performance. If you can hold the other team to less than 20 points, you always have a shot.

Yup. Defense wins championships. There are some exceptions where QBs put the team on their back but it's rare.

Not sure about being proud of another one and done ritual, but if that is every ones criteria for being proud, so be it. Over the course of the season, we've played some of the most embarrassing football on both sides of the ball I've seen since 69. Many Steeler legends were not all that proud either. My question is, if Jax would have lost, would you still post this? Personally, I am embarrassed for a couple of reasons,1. Nothing changed this year, one and done, 2. Nothing will change next year. Don't get me wrong, I want rings and be competitive, emphasis on competitive. One thing a team that you can be proud of will or should do is give you confidence and hope that things will be better next season. I haven't seen anything posted that would classify as being hopeful on here. Hell, we don't even know who'll be on our OL or QB, do we? Patton said something to the effect, "I don't give a hootin hell for a man who lost and laughed". I guess I fall into that camp. Sorry.

Absolutely. I'd rather be double digit dogs and have other teams play down to us instead of being favored and, well, you know how this goes. JMO>

But....what if Steelers win the damn game?

This one and done, if it happens is completely justified. Not so much vs Jags in '17 and Browns last year.

I’ve been hard on Ben this season but I agree with this, this is the biggest advantage we could have with him over another QB right now. If the Steelers manage to keep it close and in striking distance to win the game, this matters.
