For any of you old enough to remember, this is a lot like the 1989 team

They made some noise in the playoffs and were close to making it to the AFC Championship game. I think this team has squeezed all the juice out of this season.

Yeah. Terrible match up next week. But hey, there’s always a chance.

Ben's not Bubby ,even in this late stage of his career .He literally just won this game .For all the bashing we all do on him we should know by now to NEVER count him out in games like this .

Yep, I remember that year well. Simiular in a way, 7 losses and the Broncos were upset that year, but this team has much more talent than that one. Would be great to advance in the playoffs as that one did and then even further! ;)

I am old enough, and yeah, this is similar to 1989. The 1984 season, in which they had to parley an upset win to get in, is also reminiscent.

Aside from Ben and TJ - which is a lot to put aside, I know- both those teams were better I think that this one.

They have to clinch first. That tie thing is still in play. You can’t make a schedule till you know who’s in

Merril Hoge played the game of his life that year against the Broncos. This definitely reminds me of the 89' team. Beating the Chiefs is a much taller order than beating the Oilers IMO.

I'm guess that the teams who plated yesterday play Saturday, so probably the games at KC and at Dallas be the Saturday games, IMO.

9 very drunk Steelers fans drinking bottled beer and my roommate trying to take out the TV with the empties. So drunk he missed by a foot on both sides while putting holes through the wall. Then we went to the bar.

Sounds like guys I could watch game with! I woke up the morning after the Oiler game with a sore jaw. I celebrated to the point of being obnoxiously drunk to the point where my best friend, justifiably, knocked me out

I have knocked out a friend or two during my military years living in the dorms for similar reasons.

So, with Bubby, I remember thinking if they can get a first down in the first quarter, the offense will show up and they’ll win. If no first down, no win. The slow starts had me thinking the same.
