    - Focus on rebuilding our offensive line and other areas before signing or drafting a QB

    - Sign a free agent QB and have an open competition

    - Draft a QB and have an open competition

    - Aim for Watson, Rodgers, or Wilson

    - Wait until there's a stronger QB draft class in the future

This morning, ESPN was saying Winston is the best option for the Steelers. No thanks.

Rodgers and Wilson will likely stay put.

Watson will not want to play for Steelers because of the O line.

Rodgers will not leave Green Bay, even though he is whiny and wants to make decisions in personnel. He doesn't realize how great of franchise and situation he is at. Green Bay should contend for a Super Bowl, but Rodgers has had some dud playoff performances.

Wilson might go, with Seattle probably facing a total rebuild. I feel like the Saints would be a good match.

Steelers aren't going to give away what little draft capital they have.

As far as the draft it looks like Pickett ,Matt Corral, Desomond Ridder, Malik Willis and Sam Howell are leading favorites.

This could be a draft were QBs slide because, this isn't a very good QB class or so they are saying.

Teams like the Lions, Panthers, maybe Texans (Mills kid is there) Denver , WFT will be looking for a QB.

All will be picking ahead of the Steelers in the draft. But, all you need to do is stand out at the Combine and you can picked in the top part of the draft.

This could be a 1st round where Steelers trade up or even trade back, depending what happens.

If Watson legal issues are resolved by then, I’d backup the Brinks truck for him.

Focus on signing and drafting OL AND signing a great vet QB for the next 3 years as well. Then focus on other areas. I hope they`ll go for. If i could make a wish it´s rodgers or wilson.

I have absolutely no idea what way the team will go at the QB position but it’s the most intriguing offseason for the team in a long long time

I get the approach of filling in all the holes on the team before drafting a QB but as we have seen with teams like the Saints and Denver if you don’t have a QB you are not going to be competing at the business end regardless of how good your overall roster is.

If they like any of the QB’s in the draft and they have an opportunity to take them, even if that means moving up I think they have to do it.

This morning on the NFL channel, the host threw out Minshew, Garappolo, and Dalton as possibilities for the Steelers....FWIW.

Minshew or Dalton would be good stopgap options. Both are minor upgrades over Rudolph.

I think Watson is a possible option. Wilson and Rodgers are long shots. Rodgers especially since his ultimate thing will be about control and he wouldn't have that with the Steelers. Wilson is a chance but a very low 1.

How about that 6'6'' Vikings backup Mannion?
He didn't look terrible with a few days notice to start.
    Super strong throws.

He threw for 189 yards, only 5.3 per attempt, with one touchdown. The guy has been bouncing around the league since 2015, yet that was only his third start. Maybe if they want to go with a bargain basement option to compete with Rudolph, they can look at someone like that, but I don't see much reason to think he can be a viable starter.

DeShaun Watson may never play again. Those cases are still being investigated as we speak. No official word yet.

I guess my question first is how do you sort out Rudolph and Haskins?

Do you cut either of them or try to trade them?

Or do they either get a shot to compete for the job?

He’d play here in a heartbeat for Tomlin.

    Watson can handle bad olines.

i haven't watched too much of Wilson this year, but from what i have seen, he looks slow and a tad washed up. from everything that's been rumored, the seahawks asking price is as if he's still prime Wilson from 5 years ago, which is insane. i wouldn't even give a second round pick for him, and they probably want multiple early round picks, including first rounders. no thanks.

If next year’s QB is not on the roster, we must look towards the U of Maryland or the MAC (to see if lightning strikes twice)

I really don't understand the fascination with Watson. He's already damaged goods because of the legal allegations. And I've never seen him as a difference maker I'm sorry.

    The optimistic scenario:

    a) Steelers sign a stopgap veteran FA QB, Nick Foles or Trubisky will work for me.
    b) the available draft QBs slide so that only 1 or 2 have been taken by the time it gets to the Steelers
    c) Steelers find a trading partner to trade down to get an extra second. It they're drafting around 15 and move down to say 28, the draft value chart equates that to a mid-second round pick in return.
    d) They get Sam Howell let's say as a late first or early second depending on how far they trade down.
    e) pick up the best OL and ILB available with their two second round picks.

The cost would be astronomical. We don’t have the draft capital. We would become Jacksonville.
