    1. Diontae is the clear #1. He still has room to grow but he can become a star.
    2. JuJu - sign him if he comes back for cheap.
    3. Ray Ray - can't believe I'm saying this but he's the 3rd best we have. He's gotten a lot more targets over the back half of the season and has shown toughness in making catches, taking big hits and hanging onto the ball.

    ----

    4. Claypool - looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. More interested in TikTok than the NFL. Bye Chase.
    5. Washington - never really worked out here. Like the kid but I think he'd do better elsewhere.

Find another 1-2 WRs in the upcoming draft or free agency. Roll with DJ, JJ and RR.

    Thoughts?

    I hear AB is available.

And no, I'm not being serious.

    Washington is all but gone.

Claypool has potential, but needs to work on his skills and learn to use his large frame.

Ray Ray has been impressive for what I considered a return specialist.

Bring back Juju and have him as the #2 to Diontae as he was to AB. We've seen him succeed in this role.

Use a late round pick on one, and pick up another cheap veteran in FA.

Claypool looks like he took a year off. Really needs to work on his hands, high pointing,, not always falling down when he attempts to catch. Ray Ray should be the 4th receiver. Dontae needs new cleats, Washington looks lost and will be gone. Do need a speed guy receiver.

Ray Ray gets quick seperation....outside of that he is what he is

DJ is a mirage.. you see him make a play and think "IS THAT AB?" and you run up to him excited only to watch him drop it or fumble and go...oh.. its just DJ

I'm all for bringing JUJU back... but if they let him go... they need to find another guy who can create space

As for Claypool...I still like him.. but game is down field and this offense was not about that...i would start every game with Chase blocking.. get him contact...make him a WARD like Warrior. Then use him like Seahawks use METCALF.. deep crosses and 7 yard slants

JJ is not going to be in great demand, but whatever that demand is out there, the Steelers are probably going to have to overpay to get him back.

He's going to be playing next year for a bigger contract in 2023. In that situation he's going to be looking for a team with an established QB, imo.

It's difficult for me to understand why JJ would want to come back here. If he believes in himself, than he and his agent are going to be willing to take less in 2022 for a bigger payday later.

Put Aaron Rodgers on this team next year and watch all their production incredibly increase.

There is no way Chase is leaving. He will get it together or he will sit.

Put Aaron Rodgers on this team and free agents would be lining up wanting to play for us. As much as us fans complain, MT and the Rooneys are much respected by other players. An opportunity play here with a star QB coming off a MVP type year is too good to pass up

Watching the game last night, I actually said out loud (to an empty room), “I’m officially off the Claypool bandwagon.”

Claypool has a contract for next year. He will be back.

JuJu is not getting a contract from anyone that will allow him to be looking for a new contract for 2023. Teams don’t want 1 year players. This year was an exception because of the cap. Steelers or anyone else will be thinking multi year.

Washington has one more game as a Steeler. He will want to go somewhere with a better opportunity.

    I’d wait a while.

Goodwill has an entire rack of AB jerseys for $2/each. Just saying.

Better not hope that. Metcalf, and Co have been at odds with how He's being used this year.

The team, in my opinion, still need that "Thermonuclear Option" as Claypool, oddly enough, seems to be better suited for the slot than as a burner. As asinine as that sounds, Claypool has not been able to stack outside the numbers for much of the season. Yes, he possess the speed.... but that is it. Much more to being a burner than just speed; god given or not. Remember that Claypool actually played a good portion of his time in the slot at Notre Dame; his final two seasons at that.

All this said, I still would sign JuJu to a contract and keep that corps together. Drafting a true deep threat is what is still needed; doubly so if when the new QB steps in.

Why do you and some others say Claypool will be better suited in the slot. In the slot you have to run crisp routes, something Claypool doesn't do well. Don't care what he did Notre Dame, he sure doesn't run good routes and does not have good enough hands for the slot position.

I think people are thinking of him like a Martavis Bryant who did the same ... It is easier when you are going against the #3 CB rather than the #1 or #2. Claypool is pretty much the size of a TE, maybe use him sort of like a receiving TE who lines up in slot?

I'm not opposed to resigning JuJu, but why would he want to stay here? Ben will be gone, and he will be offered a lot of money to play elsewhere.

We definitely still need a deep threat burner.

I think when talking about the deep ball, people don’t take into account how bad Ben is at it. Almost all of Bens passes come around the line of scrimmage. I don’t think the guy is capable throwing much else.

Johnson, Claypool, McCloud, White right now. They could sign Juju and I wouldn't be opposed to another 1 yr deal.

Johnson has speed. I believe they will resign him. He is the #1.

Claypool needs to concentrate more. Its his 2nd year. He will improve. Signed though the 2023 season.

McCloud is starting to becoming a a bigger part of the offense and is making some noise.

White is in the mix more on special teams.

Washington is gone. He has been misused and its a mystery.

Don't know what is going to happen with Juju. Maybe he resigns? If not they need a replacement. Not a high priority in the draft.

The offensive coordinator has to start working the middle of the field. Was this just a Ben thing? Those who want Claypool out of the slot they need to work the middle of the field more. They could cause mismatches if they work him into the slot from time to time. Plus I feel that Ben's Accuracy has suffered the last few seasons with the deep passes as Blast mentioned.

I wouldn't give up on Claypool just yet. This 2 yard passing offense, and every pass attempt to him is contested was a horrible fit.

Claypool is like Cosmo Kramer ( with a better build ) always stumbling, falling down, tangled up with himself...You can't teach " smoothness " or balance..

That was the knock on him coming out of College....Like someone alluded to "Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane " ...

Sure he looks good topless, but so what

    Agreed.

That said, much of what made Chase so great at Notre Dame was his ability to play in that position. Realistically speaking, I am even more impressed that the team did not use Claypool as a sub for JuJu at the slot when he went down. Did Big Ben have that call?! Was it by design that Claypool stays on the outside?! No one knows for sure.

Deante is not a star wr. That's ridiculous. He's good but not great. No one other than few on this site consider DJ a legit play maker. Juju is or was the best WR on this team. Claypool was supposed to be the star but he's been a total bust so far. shown no progress in 2 seasons. hopefully he'll figure it out in year 3. Dj has been especially bad the last few games . Mental lapses , dropping balls again. penalties. He's does not show a 2nd gear when the game is on the line or we need him to step up and take over a game. He disappears often.

DJ's hands are better than they were but they still aint good. That guy rarely dominates any corner. He can get open and catch the easy balls and the occasional nice catch but lacks big play ability. He lacks the ability to win contested passes. He doesn't draw double coverage or in any way open things up for other WR's. I think DJ is pretty good in the open field when he has the ball but he's not going to break any tackles. He is not special. He's a #2 WR at best. Team him up with an elite WR and we would have a very nice WR group. Next season we desperately need a capable WR to complement DJ and Claypool. We have to hope and pray claypool gets serious about this craft and breaks out. We just have too many bigger problems IMO that we have to address in the draft to waste on a WR. Maybe a later round but we need to re sign juju or another FA.
