This is really nitpicking, but as I watched Najee's touchdown run, I couldn't help but think he should fall or go out of bounds at the 1 and just let Ben take two knees to end the game and really soak it all in. At that point, the game would have been over anyway since Cleveland was out of timeouts and the points wouldn't have mattered.

Just a thought. I'm glad they won in Ben's last game.

What I noticed is how the Cleveland DB (#20) gave up on the play at about the 10 yard line.

Maybe he knew the Browns only chance (limited as it was) would be to let Harris score. If he tackles him, they have no chance. If he lets him score, Cleveland probably had 0.001% chance.

    Or maybe he just quit.

He is a Brown so I'd guess the latter. :lolol:

Najee deserves every TD he can get for all the hard running he's done behind that awful offensive line all season.

If the Steelers had a 1 point lead at the time, I might have agreed with you. But it was five, putting them two touchdowns up with 51 seconds to play. And yeah, it looked like the d-back quit. Maybe he wasn't as close as he looked from the camera angle.

This guy must be playing against somebody in FF for the Championship who started Najee.

I agree with you OP and I'm surprised how many people aren't seeing it too.
It's not about the game. The game was over either way. It was about having the clock run out with Ben on the field as opposed to the sideline.

Najee's great game (man that was amazing to watch) actually has me worried about our QB next season. Steelers might see his potential and draft O-line guy first round. I'm pretty sure we are out of the Pickett race and I can't see them going all in with Mason.

Who the hell is under center next year?????? Another poster said this and I can see it happening if he is available, Malik Willis. ??????????????????????????????

Hate Rodgers, pretty sure he ain't coming but I'll take Russell Wilson.

The Manning Brothers also wanted him to just go down instead of scoring so you aren't alone.

Just can't see any player in the heat of the moment thinking like that. Remember pad those numbers for contract time. And let's face it, when Najee's career is over he'll tell his kids he knew the HOF QB but only spent a year with him. Then he will tell them about the Super Bowls he led us too with ........:)

Simultaneously gave up and knew it was the only chance. Also known as Schrödinger's Stain.

Lots of players have gone down instead of scoring to ensure the game ends rather than put the defence back on the field with time on the clock.

Cut him some slack. Normally he would have 5 guys hanging on to him behind the line of scrimmage. A clear line of sight to the end zone was rare for Najee this year and he did what was instinctive to him

I might have agreed with this ,but last night I had No problem with this defense going back out...Few more plays and Watt would have had the sack record last night... Loved watching Baker getting the snot knocked out of him!!

Oh I don't blame him at all. You're right - he was probably so surprised to actually still be running at that point that he wasn't thinking anything else. It was merely an observation I had from my comfy seat on my couch :). Ben ultimately did get back on the field, but only because of a fortunate interception. I think with two guaranteed knees, Ben could have had an awesome ovation (he did anyway) and really enjoy the moment.

I was screaming go down so Ben can end it by kneeling, but I’m sure Harris was just in the moment and didn’t even think about it.

The interception seemed like it was just meant to happen to get Ben back out there, I think that interception made my whole night.

No, he was on the field for Harris's touchdown. He just didn't have the ball in his hands.

Why kneel when you can witness another Baker Mayflower Turnover...
