It's hard to win in the playoffs, Peyton Manning is probably a top 5 QB of all time has a 14-13 playoff record, Drew Brees a top 15 QB of all time has a 9-9 playoff record .

A certain name I won't mention is frigging 31-11. Really is amazing. Not of fan of him or Rodgers but I don't know who can stop them in NFC. Go Cowboys??????

I remember Bradshaw’s last game as well. Saturday game against the Jets and the last pass he threw was a TD. Not to Bell, but to Calvin Sweeney. He threw another TD pass that day I think to Greg Garrity. Boy, that receiving corps of Garrity, Sweeney, Bell and Skansi I’m sure struck fear in the hearts of opposing DBs, lol.

Ben was so good at shaking off defenders, and extending the play, a poor mans Elway who Ben idolized.

How many of the losses were because of them playing bad though? Actual question, I honestly don’t know.

Ben has been a turnover machine in the playoffs.

The Steelers of the 70s won because they had that Epic Defense. You know the one, the one called the greatest of all time?

Yes, in the Tomlin era we’ve won because We Have Ben. Teams don’t dread playing Tomlin or anyone else for that matter. They do dread playing Roethlisberger.

Just this week, the Cleveland sports writers have written their long nightmare is almost over with the end of the Big Ben Era. Their record up against him is devastating, and he’s from Ohio!

How I’ll miss other fans celebrating after their team scores what they think is the winning TD, only to look at the clock of 1 or so minutes left. That look in their face when they mumble, ‘Ben” And they were right, even a minute is too much time to leave Roethlisberger.

Bradshaw was key, but lots of things went into the success of that team. The 70s Steelers had 10 HOF players and a HOF coach. We had the best coach and the best talent, including the best big game QB of the era.

I expect Ben will give his best effort in this one, if the O-line let`s him.

Those clips above of Ben and if u watch his greatest plays on YouTube are truly amazing. I know his skills have diminished greatly but man am I going to miss him. You can never argue the fact that he gave it all on every play.
And HE is the sole reason Tomlin has never had a losing season! He bailed Tomlins ass out so many times it isn’t funny.
Monday night is going to be bittersweet!

Peyton didn't always play great in the playoffs himself, he once got shutout by the Jets 41-0 .

Peyton had two hall of fame caliber receivers, a hall of fame RB, a hall of fame HC. Two great pass rushers in Mathis, Freeney, and former DPOY Bob Sanders.

Ben had 6 turnovers in their last two playoff losses, that's on him, he hasn't bailed anybody out lately.

Yes, they had a great defense, but Bradshaw called his own plays and he played big in the big games. The big difference between Ben and Bradshaw would play bad but come up big to win the game, he had 3 turnovers in a Super Bowl but still won SB MVP.

Good point, though the first throw was a bit high. The second throw, given the coverage, was absolutely perfect.

Please don't move the goalposts. You keep trying to make it out that all they needed was Brady. That simply wasn't true. That roster was very different from the one they had with Winston the previous season. Draft picks count. You can credit Brady all you like for Gronkowski, Brown, and Fournette going to the Bucs, but the fact remains that they weren't on the team the previous year.

arians didn’t want AB and ab didn’t even play for part of the year and playoffs. Yes you have to factor in the fact they wouldn’t be there because of Brady because Winston wouldn’t have been able to get them there. That was part of them getting Brady. And again if you think those guys plus Winston and they are winning the sb last he than you’re delusional.

he didn’t have edge his whole career. Harrison and Wayne. Ben played with two hall of fame wrs, a hall of fame rb, another all pro rb that was the best in game in his prime, had TWO dpoys on his defense, and overall his defenses were always far better.
