They need to address the lines in free agency as well. The trenches must be the primary focus of the off-season!

TJ Watt played but probably should not. His ribs were hurting and it effected his pass rush and tackling. Give him credit for being a warrior but I think he was actually hurting us.

Alualu is under contract for next season and I feel he will come back. Tuitt is another matter. Who knows. Wormley's arrow is pointing up. They need solid depth in which they don't have. If Tuitt comes back that will fill a piece. If.

Kendrick Green was a guard converted into a center. That experiment is over. Move him to guard. Amazing why they kept Hassenauer and he didn't see a snap at center even as Green struggled. What does that tell you.

Moore will get better. Dotson sans the injury is soild. Chuks is junk, and Turner should be gone. Banner is signed through 2022.

They will have money to spend to grab some quality pieces. But they won't break the bank as usual.

This is only the beginning of needs. QB,WR, OLB, SS, ILB, CB. Gonna be some tough years coming up.

    And the coaching staff

I thought Loudermilk showed signs that he has an upside FWIW.

You will get a raw LB and a WR, and you will like it!

I disagree. He was actually generating pressure on Mahomes, something his teammates didn't do very often in the game.

Tuitt's return would make a huge difference, but it is tough to count on him. The same can be said of Alualu coming off a major injury at 35. They still need to keep investing in the defensive line, but injuries were a huge part of that unit's collapse this season.

I agree that they need to move Green back to guard. Moore might have to move to the right side. Okorafor is such a liability in the running game that they need to get him out of the lineup. That is why I say this team needs a center and a tackle.

There are other needs on defense, but they are going to have to wait. The front lines have to be the focus in the draft and free agency. Maybe take a shot on a quarterback in the second round or one of the cheaper options in free agency, but even that has to come after the lines.

A strong safety hopefully in free agency. They can't even think about signing the liability Edmonds. Also need an OLB rotation guy that's told the truth. Your here to spell Watt and Highsmith and if one goes down you move into their slot. I think that Ingram was mislead.

Definitely the trenches! Center and a tackle on O and a Nose and D End/Tackle on D.

I feel the same about Alualu and Tuitt. Who knows at this point. Hope they both can suit up but like said they need a beast like Alualu.

Its not going to be a one year thing.

I decided last night to watch some old Steelers games and noticed that those teams had talented speedy athletes on both sides of the ball compared to this current team. I also noticed Ben had a lot more velocity on his passes as well compared to now. It is like night and day compared to the current state of the Steelers. It has been such a slow decline the last few years that it was not as obvious until you go back and watch some of those old games. Ok folks, carry on.

A astute well summarised statement of many particular things that went wrong. All I could think was I've seen monkey **** throwing fights at the zoo that were more organized and fought with more passionate than this.

Roethlisberger's limitations were a huge part of the problem yesterday. The way to attack the Chiefs is to throw the ball down the field. The first time they tried it, the ball sailed on him and it was intercepted. The reason for that is that his deep passes just don't have much zip on them. Mahomes has the arm to gun it right through adverse conditions. Roethlisberger can no longer do that, so he was mostly stuck going with the short stuff and the Chiefs knew it.

You do know that he had no sacks and one tackle. Did you see him grab he ribs when getting blocked. Yes he did some pressure, but clearly was not himself.

I agree with the rotation of the OLB, but I think if the rotating guy is outplaying the starter, he should have the chance at starting and the other guy becomes the rotational player. This is what I think Ingram felt, I think he believes he was outplaying Highsmith and wasnt being given the opportunity to play as he felt he deserved. Did he handle it right, did he talk to Tomlin before asking out, did Tomlin blow him off and give him a few new cliches'? I dont know what happened and I am not privy to the inside scoop, but I believe Ingram felt he was the better player......and frankly I think if he was the starter instead of Highsmith, we may have seen a better defense. But Tomlin is the smartest guy in the room and he obviously knows more than anyone else, obviously !!!

And the middle of the field is off limits  Claypool had 2 solid catches in a row at one point then they looked away. FEED the HOT HAND!

Ben is done. Most of us can see it. I thank him for all he has given but its almost painful to watch at this point. He has 4x4's for legs. He cannot throw down the field anymore with consistency like you mentioned scribe. Art II best not ask for him to continue another year. I feel he was the catalyst to bring Ben back. Ben should have went out with Pouncey.

"We own this" Another joke cliche from OL Popcorn. How about you own starting fast and not in cement boots and having the team better prepared.

Yeah I don't get taking a 21 year old LB and sitting him for 2 years until he is 23 and wasting 2 years of rookie contract value like with Timmons. 1 year for Shazier (never actually helped his fundamentals but he was an incredible athlete and game changer).

I don’t know what game you guys were watching. We came up a little short. We will get it back this week.

DJ purposely fumbled the ball cause he was reading this message board stating he should be mad he wasn’t a pro bowler. (Not yet people). Killed our momentum could’ve only trailed 23-8 instead of 30-0.

Claypool made some circus catches and Harris fought hard.

I don’t understand why Tomlin has been taped up like a Mummy the last 3 games? Anyone?

Huh? I recall Timmons getting a lot of snaps in '07 and '08. He even played OLB for a stretch when Woodley was out.

I never claimed that he was himself. He clearly wasn't, but he did generate pressure early on. Once he was out of there, with a few exceptions, Mahomes had all the time he wanted.
