    I just read that he is also assistant head coach. That’s a notch farther up from where he is now and probably more money. Plus now he is one step from a head coach position. Good career move.

    Coaching in college is a different animal, in large part because recruiting is such a big part of the job. Klemm has a reputation as a fantastic recruiter. That is probably what got him the new job. It certainly wasn't his work with the Steelers.

    Do a little research. Klemm had a reputation as a great recruiter when he was at SMU and UCLA. I'm sure that is also why they didn't want him to wait another two weeks. They want him out there doing his primary job.
