I understand and agree. But it is obvious he is untouchable. We can talk about it and wish for it but it's not going to happen. That's my only point

Until the issues with this team actually impact the bottom-line revenue, the Rooney's aren't changing anything. Money talks. JMO>

I want to know when somebody watches the All22 or a replay if that final drive by Mason if the Chiefs just started resting guys or not pressing. Not because I think Mason was much better and looking to push him forward but because there were plays made that Ben hasn't done consistently all year. Looked like a pair of seam route throws to Gentry and Rader which had me going where the heck was that all game.

Steelers need to hire Eric "Sleeping with" Bienemy as new HC.

Serious question: what do the Rooney’s do to make money? It can’t all be football revenue. I’ve never known where their income comes from

Even the All22 wouldn't really tell us anything. The game was over at that point. The Chiefs were just sitting back waiting for the clock to run out.

Really what's the point. The man is only playing 2 more games, and if You believe what some have been saying that Ben only moves the Ball in the 2nd half because teams change defense.....why would they change it back for Mason.....the defense that is.
Plus some of the Chiefs D was already on the bench.

They were at one time very invested in horse racing and gambling on it. I don't remember if the league forced Dan and Art to sell their stake in the family business but I believe that was why they had to take on minority partners since they couldn't have the horse racing money

I would also if I hadn't see what the last two coordinators that left Big Andy ended up being.

Just for my own peace of mind. We have talked all season about Ben chaffing under Canada's offensive playbook, have debated whether its guys not getting open, or the OLine sucking. I just want to know if Ben's issues had a bigger role in the struggles by the offense than the offense struggling causing Ben's. Call me curious

Ben’s limitations are a big part of the problem.

Here is a reason why Tomlin won't be fired. If this season ends with a losing record, it will be his first. If he ends at .500 or .558, ARII will think job well done under the circumstances of the cap, aging QB, inexperienced o-line, injuries to the d-line. The problem I see is there wasn't improvement by the team consistently throughout the season and regression of the defense is a major issue. Will ARII do his due diligence, or will it be status quo?

I had tuned the game out at that point so nothing memorable happened for me. I had the game on still, but it was just background noise for me at that point. But I might play the game again and fast forward to the plays with Rudolph and see if anything stands out. I don't think any of his throws will stand out. Ben has made all those throws at various points this year (although never consistently), but what might be different is the play calls, pre-snap motions, etc.

I still don't think we can really conclude anything from a tiny sample size in a game that was a blowout.

I'd go with both. Why a coordinator that has failed everywhere, was expected 2 come in 2 a NFL team with an aging Qb was the smartest thing has me baffled

Growing up an out of market fan back in the day was no easy feat. I remember as a kid when my family moved to MO in the early 80s. Didn't take long to tire of hearing about the Cardinals (football or baseball). Back then the only hope for catching any Steelers news was trying to catch a SportsCenter on ESPN (still coming into its own as an offering in cable TV packages) or a copy of USA Today's Sports section. Mostly though, it was scanning the Transactions line on the back page of the Southeast Missourian's Sports page, and biking to a local library on a Saturday afternoon to get out more info from a periodical based a few zip codes closer to Pittsburgh. And here the kids of today complain if they can't get a full 5G signal on their smartphones and have to wait a second or two.

Of course, I shouldn't complain too much or @jeh1856 will show up and tell the stories of how he got his Steelers updates after decoding a wall of hieroglyphs inside a local cave. Which he only got to walking uphill, both ways, in the snow, evading a tyrannosaur.

So this is the reality of it...if he or Harbaugh make the playoffs they both are top 5 Coach of the Year candidates ....GUARANTEED!!! Sig bet for anyone who thinks otherwise...tell me how he or Harbaugh isnt based upon personnel and injuries??? and I'm dead serious about what I said.

Sean Payton will also be a candidate if his team makes it. I can't really think of two others because everybody else is about where everybody expected them to be about this time. Maybe the Bengals coach and the Cardinals coach??....otherwise tell me where the lie is??

Offensive line woes really irk me, it just hasn't gotten any better this year.

The rookies aren't rookies anymore. If you can't see any improvement by now then all these guys are total and utter duds.

And if you can't coach them up than that is on you.

Art Rooney for 3 years straight has said the run game needs to get better and we are now worse. When do you say enough is enough?

I'm not for firing Tomlin but the Rooney's need to apply some heat.

First, Matt Canada is in way over his head maybe even more so than Randy Fichntner. He needs to go. Keith Butler is a lifer. He's a good LB coach. He has coached up some tremendous football players over the years. However, I believe he is overwhelmed as a coordinator. He's been a loyal soldier, but he also needs to go. I believe Colbert is done after this year. I just wonder who they have in mind as his replacement.

My point is this. Look at some of the guys that were on the field today. Some of them I honestly have no idea where they even came from. This team had a narrow opportunity coming into this season to be a solid WC contender IF everything went right. Well, injuries, covid and poor play by below average NFL players has them where they are. I'm not singling the guy out because God knows he tries, but a player like Robert Spillane would be on the practice squad of 24 other NFL teams. Even when completely healthy, this is a middle of the pack NFL squad.

Now, I'm not like some here that completely absolve Tomlin of blame. The foolish penalties, idiotic behavior while you're getting you're a$$ kicked and some of the immaturity can't all be blamed on the players. They do it because there aren't consequences. They know it, I know and all of you know it. As long as he has been coaching, he should never butcher his use of timeouts like he did last week, either. Too many "seat of the pants" decisions. I know these guys never quit on him, but they are just not a very good football team, period.

I had a friend who had one of those big ass satellite dishes. I remember you had to call a 1-900 number to get the coordinates for the game you wanted to watch. Spent a lot of Sundays at his house.
