I'm with you, but I did see it was one of the defenders 1st play ever and he prompted the celebration to Witherspoon. I can understand if it was your 1st play being super pumped, but overall it does look stupid celebrating being down so much.

I would also add he provided leadership as well. Hines was what you want in as many players as possible to be like. Used to love that big smile he had while cracking blocks, making plays or getting under the other teams skin. He had fun while playing the game the way it should be imo.

Even grown men need mentors. Unless one day you realize, "wow, I'm a grown ass man" and know everything there is to know. This kid is a few years out of school/ college and has millions of $ in his pocket and God knows who is giving him advice. Grown man? Physically, sure, but that is as far as it goes until he figures things out through life experiences. Right now, he is ship with a questionable rudder and lots of talent and resources. Hoping someone provides him guidance before too much time is wasted. JMO>

He reminds me of Houshmandzadeh, the good the bad and the ugly.
I’m not ready to rid our team of him. He made a mistake, let’s hope he can turn it around. I’m more concerned that he didn’t have the fundamental training to know what exactly you do and don’t do in that situation.

and that my friends, is coaching.

Remember when Plaxico Burress spiked the ball after making a spectacular catch? But no one from the defense touched him. So they returned the fumble 60 yards but only won by two. After the game Bill Cowher pulled him aside and said son we learn new lessons every day don’t we? Just thank God you didn’t cost me a ball game.

Grown ass men who act like children because there’s no accountability.

Maybe we can get a competent offensive lineman for him?

I guess you can keep defending him if you choose. I'm not letting him off the hook. We coach our seniors in high school to be team leaders. A seventeen year old on a decent HS football team would be called out for the mistakes/decisions Chase has made. We expect more from them. Same when a young man becomes an upperclassman in college. He's expected to stop making mental mistakes and operate with maturity. So...for the last time...yes, Tomlin and other coaches have some accountability for this...but Chase doesn't get a pass...he just doesn't.

He had a bad year. His team was riddled with injuries. He wasn't exposed or anything like that.

LoL. 49,and 2 other teams had more starters out . You yourself said before the year . With the new Wr if he didn't do good you would admit He wasn't good, but you just keep making more excuses. Funny. No 100 yard Wrs till he gets hurt, and other Qbs come in.

They resorted to having to get rbs off the street. Whole secondary is out. Oline men hurt. Wrs in and out of the lineup.
