I think they started rotating it to different cities because other sports were doing that as well for All Star games.

Could they support an NFL franchise? I wouldn't think but from someone who's lived there perspective.

 

The offense sucks. What did people expect? I like DJ... he's a good WR, but the most productive player on a crappy offense doesn't deserve pro bowl honors, IMO.

 

They can start a bowling league.

Jack Ham once said that Pro Bowl recognition comes one year too late and is lost one year too late.

Agree name recognition is everything especially with OL.

 

That's probably still true today with the caveat that social and sports media can massively hype up certain players.

 

This is why some of us older fans wrinkle our nose a bit when Tomlin talks about the standard. Three times in the 70s we sent 10 to the Pro Bowl.
