Watt and Heyward. Both very deservedly so. First time Steelers have had 0 offensive Pro Bowlers in at least a decade.

Instead of celebrating our two great defensive players, this is a negative plot twist.

Who do you think should have made it? I’m not surprised.

Perhaps DJ or NH could still be added.

They both had decent yardage but poor TD numbers, so no Pro Bowl warranted:

DJ: 1028 yards (10th in yards), 6 TDs (tied for 19th best with 11 other players)
NH: 891 yards (6th in yards; notably Derrick Henry is 5th even though he's only played 8 games this year), 6 TDs (tied for 16th best with 3 other players)

I think Dionte Johnson deserved a pro bowl selection. He came a long way this season.

The pro bowl is nothing more than a vacation program based on popularity. Alex Mack and Joe Thomas were probowl and All Pro every year since they came into the league and never once got near a playoff game.

    Statistically, yes.

But when you play on one of the worst offenses in the league, you're not going to be noticed.

In a way, that makes the season DJ is having even more impressive.

Saw a headline earlier today were he says they are sleeping on him. Not sure what the point of that statement is.

It does have a negative spin, but overall just reenforces how bad our offense is on all sides.

How can Lava say Diontae making the Pro Bowl isn't warranted? He has more yards and TD than Keenan Allen in one less start.

DJ was robbed. He will probably be an alternate though.

Minkah was robbed also. Not a GM in the NFL would take Mathieu over him. Minkah has been all over the field this season cleaning up tackles.

    Other than that can't complain.

Really they should have just let GMs and coaches do all selections after Villanueva got in haha.

Diontae numbers are similar to Keenan Allen's stats, Allen got in because he's more known.

Never cared much about watching the Pro Bowl. I do remember living in Hawaii when the stadium was being built. So much corruption involved and at least 2 killings. Local mob wanted the contracts and they got them. The locals were really excited for it though. Their only chance to see NFL stars.

I don't know when they stopped going to Hawaii but it's kind of a shame for NFL fans living there.

Read a thing someone posted on Twitter that I agree with:

Anyone bent out of shape that that one of their fav players got screwed out of going to the Pro Bowl should be forced to watch the whole Pro Bowl.

    Allen and Diggs.

Diontae has almost exactly the same production as Diggs for 1/14th the price (but also his 1 fumble this year was a travesty).
