Folks please I'm so tired of rehashing the same crap year after year. We've been trapped in Tomlin/Ben limbo way too long. New quarterback please!

So, you’ll let the 10M dollar a year guy make the decision, then wank because you don’t like it. Gotcha!

It’s the appropriate division of labor, and I take my responsibilities as fan seriously. It’s what I train all year for.

I am ready for the Steelers to move on. There are contingencies that would have to occur for it to work if he did. Of course, the following are simply my opinions.

First, he would have to sign a deal that works for the team financially. Second, they need to bring in a new OC that understands what Ben is at this point in his career and how he is to play moving forward and not how he (Ben) wants to play. Third, the o-line needs rebuilt with quality draft picks and FA's. Fourth, and maybe most unlikely; they bring in a decent FA QB with experience and there is open competition for the starting job. As Conway Twitty once sang "It's Only Make Believe" because the Steeler brass doesn't have the balls to impose those conditions in order for Ben to come back. It's a shame, because in the right offense with a good running game and a good offensive line, he could still be effective. The same stubborn determination that has served Roethlisberger well during his career is biting him in the ass in his twilight and the Steelers brass is enabling him.

Being a fan isn’t labor. It’s not even a requisite.

I just think Ben has to many problems with the sideline right now to return. I don't think Ben is happy being part of this offense right now.

Every game you can see Ben's frustrations on how the offense is being called. I don't remember Ben ever being so upset and having so many jesters toward the sideline.

I will not be surprised at all to see Ben on a different team next year. I don't think Denver's OC has a strangle hold on that team, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a reunite with Munchak and maybe even Randy in Denver next year.

Oh.....but somehow Ben seems 2 when our defense isn't holding up.
Well if Ben scored more points, or if Ben didn't let our defense get tired.
Rules change for what Qb we are talking about.
Ravens lost their last starting Cb last week, and had No Lamar.
Rodgers should have just scored a td every drive like people think we should.
I mean He is supposed 2 be the savior of the up coming Steelers. LoL.
    Don't mind Me.
    I dislike Rodgers

I think if Ben had an Oline he’d be our best bet to win a SB next season. Of course that also would require the defense to actually perform.

Give him a #1 WR and an Oline and I think he’d be a top 10-15 ranked QB and a sure thing play off contender.

The Rodgers that beat the Lions 37-17 or how about the Rodgers that beat the Steelers 27-17.

Or the Rodgers that has led his team to a league best 11-3 record.

Was waiting for Your answer. LoL
Well He won't be playing the Steelers if He's playing for the Steelers.
He'll be playing the ravens, and not against a ravens team with all their starting Cbs out, and Lamar also. Like tonight. :hehehe:
He will be playing behind this O line...not the oline He's behind now. Think about that. Mister I break my soft collar bone behind this line. LoL
I believe We had a 11-3 record last year. What everyone call it????
I was going 2 stay on all night waiting for Your reply.:hehehe:

Rules don't change for me. The rules are always the same.
You can dislike whoever you want, but Rodgers is easily one of the best QB's in the game.
We'd be a very different team if we had Rodgers. Our offence wouldn't be among the worst in the league

Is Ben declining? Of course what 40 year old isn't worse than he was when he was 25? He might not be a steady 10 anymore, but he can still Flash 10 and is probably steady at a 6 in a league full of 5's

The steelers don't have a contingency plan? You think Jordan Love is Aaron Rodgers contingency plan? You think Kyle Trask is Tom Brady's contingency plan?

The steelers had a first round grade on Mason Rudolph and the entire league had a first round grade On Dwayne Haskins.

Big Ben hasn't won anything since 2010?

Neither has Aaron Rodgers.... Rodgers has 1-4 in NFC championship games. Ben 3-2 in AFC championship games.

Big Ben cost too much money that could be used at other positions?

Aaron Rodgers contract is 46.1 million in 2022 and if you trade for him you also have to give up draft picks to get him. Sure you can hope Green Bay cuts him and you might be lucky enough beat out 20 other teams to get him for maybe 35 million but that's even if he wants to come Pittsburgh.

Same thing goes for Russell Wilson he makes 37 million and 2022 and if you want to trade for him you're going to give up draft picks if Seattle cuts him do you win the Russell lottery and pay him 40 million a year ?

Just go get the next greatest quarterback in the draft?

I posted a really thorough quarterback thread showing every quarterback drafted since Ben. I got news for you, they don't grow on trees and the 2022 class stinks. I'm guessing there is not one quarterback in the 22 draft that even sniffs a starting Super Bowl spot

draft online qnd shore up the middle linebacker spot.. ride with Ben for one more year in 2022 And hope a good quarterback becomes available in 2023

The defense is tired because the offense isn't doing its part?

I'm so sick of this narrative the defense gives up 200 yds rushing in the 1st quarter because of BEN? The defense gives up a touchdown after sitting all half time because of Ben?

The defense is bad, they give up way to many chunk plays a game .. Maybe they're hurt? Maybe they're just that bad? Either way they are a pile of hot garbage most weeks

Mean Joe knows exactly what hes talking about and hes 100% right, if you think this is all on Ben you don't know crap about football

It's a bad team with a bad defense and a bad offense and they still are only a positive covid test on Ben and1/2 game out of a tie for 1st place in the AFC North

Agree with this, and agree point four will not happen, if Ben is coming back he will be the guaranteed starter regardless of how bad he plays.

There is zero point bringing him back if they don’t take the offensive line rebuild seriously. They can’t just throw a bunch of guys out there again next year.

I'm in for having him back, if we draft a potential Qb of the future and cut ties with Mason and Haskins. Pick up another veteran Qb as well.

    Rebuild that line!!!!

You want to rebuild the line by drafting a qb in the first?

I promise you.. Mason and Haskins are on par with any 2022 QB in the draft

    I agree.. focus on oline

Some of you are clinging in to your first crush because you are afraid of what life will be like without them. News flash, you’re already experiencing it. And Ben will be another year older, his play will drop off even more next season.

Rip the bandaid off the rest of the way and move on because replacing this Ben, won’t be that difficult.

Bring Ben back for what reason? So we can continue to have one of the worst offences in the league. Ben is contributing to that problem. Anyone who can't see that doesn't know crap about football.

Yes, our defence sucks. Our Oline sucks. Our Dline sucks. Our CB's suck. Our ILB'ers suck. Our WR's are extremely overrated. But Ben is also part of the problem and it won't get better next year, it will get worse and worse. Father time never loses.

It's looking like this team is going to be worse next year, not better, and that's with or without Ben. We need a change on this team.
