He had 12 solo and 2 assisted tackles today. He had a heckuva game.

This guy is working way too hard, imo. Glad he’s back there.

Finally. I wanted to see some fire from him coming downfield to tackle.

But still... LBs should be the ones making those plays.

He's been playing well all year. Don't let PFF fool anyone. He has been asked 2 do the impossible this year.
Play his position, and 3 others in front of him.

Serious question. In your post does the “3” mean the number 3 or is it short for something else?

Minkah and Edmunds were the leading tacklers with 14 and 10. That is not a good thing nor a recipe for success.

The leading tacklers in the league are all LB's. You have to go to #16 before you get to a safety, Derwin James, and he plays for the 23rd ranked D in the league.

Safeties making tackles = no bueno.

Until Tuitt returns, Minkah is gonna have to sustain that multiplicity of effort.

It might get even worse. Now Wormley is injured, too.

I'm not sure I understood your comment. So you don't like Minkah, or You like Him ,and He's working 2 hard??

The logic from the post I quoted, this late at night, was that if Tuitt retired, Minkah would continue to play well

It’s late for this old dude, please don’t tax my grey cells

Minkah should have gotten the game ball. That dude was everywhere today. Where ever the ball was, Minkah was close by. He's being asked to do a lot of work that LB'ers should be doing, and he's doing a damn good job.

The Steelers rush defense performs about as well as Glenn serving as hall monitor.

They easily could have given it to him. Haden made some great plays, but he also got beaten deep twice. Once he was bailed out by pressure that kept Tannehill from making the throw, then later the receiver just dropped the pass.

On the first He bit on the play fake. I believe. I will watch it all again tomorrow. I still think We are better with Him playing, then without.

    Not surprised.

As I have stated multiple times already, Minkah is a centerpiece of the defense; the piece needed for the secondary. Losing Haden was bad enough.

Imagine losing Minkah for that period of time!

the reason the safeties are making those tackles goes back to the ILB play. When your linebackers are easily blocked, run themselves out of position or have no clue what they are doing, the only defenders left in the middle of the field are the safeties. If this doesnt push this obvious weakness in our defense to the coaches, fans and opponents, nothing will. Our ILB are non factors on 80-90% of the plays.
