I respectfully disagree with MJG on this one. Perhaps senility is setting in with him. Has he been watching the last two years? SMH

I LOVE Ben but yeah needs to retire. Best qb in Steelers history and currently, but we need to move forward.

If we had a decent o line and the money was right, I would be inclined.

But the o line play would likely kill him if it’s not improved.

No matter who we have behind center next year Ben would probably still be the best option.

the problem is that we have no succession plan, so Ben is better than The backups. but with Ben comes his huge contract which takes money away from all other positions. So if we can take the money from Ben’s contract and use it well then we are better off without him because the team needs a talent upgrade.

That’s the most frustrating part. Your QB has MAJOR reconstructive elbow surgery on his throwing arm and still no contingency plan. The mismanagement just irks.

The Cleve Browns, the Balt Ravens and the Cincy Bengals agree with Joe. They’d love to see Ben back next yr.

When you say if the money is right, leads me to ask; hasn’t Ben’s salary for next year already been given to him via signing bonus? Given that he’s gonna count against us, it may be the cheapest path next year.

Rudolph and Haskins ain't the answer but, what's yours? Who's been available the last couple of years who are any good? No, not Cam Newton, I mean good!

Obviously. 31 other teams have a franchise quarterback in waiting and we don’t.

He’s obviously in decline and that’s the biggest problem with Joes pov, it implies there is no one better and that certainly isn’t true. If they could get a Wilson or a Rodgers here in a trade, that would certainly be an upgrade. I don’t even think Joe could dispute that.

Hey Mean Joe Greene has a point. He played the last few years of his career with a bum right arm due to nerve damage from an injury. Maybe Ben can be just as successful with his bum right arm.

Ben has some liabilities but he sure hasn`t quit. Starting to feel another year and a revamped OL could work. Thinking some vet FA at center and a stud LT. and Ben can produce.

I don’t have the answer, but I’m not being paid $10M per year to bear that responsibility.

I’m a fan, and I’ll do what fans do. And MT is the coach, and I’ll let him do what he does, and that’s probably the appropriate division of labor to this point.

Really. So besides Cincinnati that's why they are losing 2 Him(Ben)....Because they love Him that much???
Have 2 be better than the so call savior A. Rodgers....How many points He win by against the ravens. You would think the so call Steelers savior A. Rodgers would totally blow out the ravens without Lamar, or any starting Cbs, wouldn't You????
