What would yall like to see more. Troy and harrison here or wallace here. I dont see how we have all three if we want to sign wallace. I hope we keep sanders too. Troy is one of my favorites and i would hate to see him somewhere else, but we cant pay him what we do and him ride the pine.

I think Troy is the type of player that would redo his contract to stay here and finnish up with the steelers. He is one of the only players that seems to be in touch with his reality and whats going on, if asked I could see he doing something for the better of the STEELERS. Harrison is also on the downside of the hill but just not as sure how he would feel about a new deal.

bens money is going to determine alot. i think at this point in their careers, troy means less to our success then harrison or wallace do. i love troy but it is what it is. father time is not friendly. i'd take a healthy young wallace playing fulltime then an older injury riddled troy at this stage in each guys career and what it means to the team now.

on a side note, we can't just keep taking salaries from the defense and giving them to the offense. there has to be a balance of some sort. ben and now AB cost the offense alot of it's alotment of money. we have dumped some big money off of the d side of the ball and there should be some more dumped off in the way of casey next year. ike is also a question mark. will he still be the starter next year? we can't pay him that kind of money as a bench warmer.

they have waited to long to upgrade the safety spot if you ask me. i know clark and troy are good players, but they are never again going to be in their prime. another year makes a big difference. it's not like in years past when safety was actually a lesser position when teams considered defensive players. with the rules changes and the passing game becoming more prevalent, a different type of safety is going to be needed and more important. this is by their own reasoning in the last 5 years. high paid players need to be on the field more then they are off.

If troy joins taylor in florida it will add about two more years to his career. Troys off season work outs arent wotking and he has said as much. All of his injuries are lower body which tells me tom shaw can do wonders for him. Shaw really focuses on the legs and think about ike, gay, and farrior when did they ever have hurt legs.

it's not a fountain of youth though. when farrior aged, his game declined with or without this workout. ike has been healthy nearly all of his career. dwyer went there and is suffering with leg and feet injuries still. not sure this will resurect troys body. if harrison gets his knee fixed he's still the better player at this stage. he shouldn't be the one we get rid of.

Troys skills haven't deteriorated, his ability to stay healthy has, so a new workout regime could make a difference. He's only 32, it's not like he's pushing 40. A healthy Troy makes more difference then just about anyone else on the team.

Harrison is as good as gone, age and injuries have caught up to him. Love the way he plays, but for the money he makes at this point he isn't worth it.

As far as Troy, I'm disappointed, but he is getting older, but I don't think he is too old yet, he seems to have lost a step but I'm saying this is more due to injury than getting older. I say give him one more year after this one. But I do think he has to rework his deal, to stay around.

Maybe this gives us more room for Wallace, I think Wallace may be coming down to earth a bit as far as we he thinks he is worth, he isn't putting up stupid numbers. But I think we really need him around, Brown might get a lot of looks and catches, but Wallace scores the Touchdowns and you need those to win. If you look at Wallace compared to Brown, Wallace scores 3 to 1 ratio with touchdowns. Not saying the Brown isn't great because he is, but in today's NFL you need two top WR's.

Running back is going to be a crazy situation, and I think that story hasn't been written yet to see what will happen there.

no they haven't but they do us no good on the bench either. he may not be healthy all year. so then we are looking at 33 years old and 11 years in the league. say what you want but he's nowhere near the player he once was because of injuries. not alot of 33 y.o. guys still in their prime. face it some day these guys will be to old and beat up to make much difference. with the cap we don't have the money or the space to just keep letting guys sit on the pine making 8 plus mil a year. it's tough to see our old guard age. at this point another year could be one to many at any time, for alot of guys.

A healthy Troy will be well worth a 2 year investment, plenty of football players still contribute a lot at Troys age, like I said, he's not 40. Maybe a new strength and conditioning program will help keep him on the field. Bens going on 31 I think? He's been hurt the last couple of season which have cut his effectiveness way down, should we dump his salary too because he may get injured again? This year a new system has been put in place to help protect him and he's barely been touched and he's playing great. Keep Troy healthy and the team will benefit greatly from it too.

Supposedly, Ben is really pushing hard (naturally) to keep Wallace. Since this is the case, hopefully he will be okay with restructuring to make sure it happens.

Not knowing what the salary cap may be, there is a possibility that we may not
see both Harrison and Troy.Thats if we do try to resign Wallace. I have my doubts
that the Steelers will resign Mike Wallace, I believe he wants more than the Steelers
    are willing to pay!
