You can bring back one Steeler player, who is it?

One more local legend about Lambert was that he stopped at a bar in East Brady, the home of Jim Kelly. This was when Kelly was playing for the Houston Gamblers and there was a posture of Kelly in his Gamblers uniform on the wall. Lambert got up and ripped the poster off the wall and tore it to pieces. He then announced to the rest of the bar patrons "When Kelly makes it in the NFL then you can put his poster up." He then sat down and finished his beer and no one said a word.

 

Lambert was the first player to come to my mind. Considered undersized, from that "small" Mid-American Conference, and a long-shot, only to become one of the most dominant middle linebackers of the time. He was someone who no one messed with (ask Cliff Harris). Unfortunately, he would likely be flagged on every play in today's NFL.

 

Marvel Smith would be a good guy to have...a great pass pro tackle that was also a run grader.

He is pretty under appreciated IMHO.

Jack Lambert for playing ability, leadership and overall terrorizing of the other team.

 

I’m going purely from a leadership standpoint, something that this team needs more than anything else, therefore Greene or Lambert.
