I think we can win especially if Thielen misses the game. However I don’t think the NFL scheduling people are being realistic having us play on Thursday right after a Ravens matchup. A win might end up being a loss because it’s not played on Sunday

Delvin Cook is out as well which is a big deal. The Steelers usually do a good job taking the other teams best player away. If Thielen is out as well with his ankle Jefferson would be that guy they try to take away. But there is no doubt this game is definitely winnable and right now I like the Steelers chances. Minnesota has to have some kind of psychological damage losing to the Lions today on the last play of the game. Whether that will have an impact on the Steelers game who knows but it’s there and it definitely could play somewhat of a factor in how Minnesota approaches this game and how they come out.

Agree on both counts. I like our chances but a Thursday night game on the road after the Ravens is probably worth an extra 3 points.

Vikings can't be doing much better after losing to Lions. I'd say it's fair for both teams.

BTW: thanks for playing the Steeler Prediction Poll. I understood why you predicted 5 wins but guessing you're happy you were wrong.

Agreed. Post-Balt last year almost lost to a bad, undermanned Dallas team, did lose to a bad Washington team.

I mean the schedule makers don't factor in who the opponent is, nor should they. They can't play favorites.

I love the night games. Order in some great food and drink a few cold ones.
The atmosphere it’s always way better then on a Sunday 1 PM. Plus win or lose the Steelers seem to play better on most of the night games.

So I’m a little tired the next day. Small price to pay.

Yeah, the Girls get on TV here every weekend, every year by just chance. They don't play any more holidays or games of the weeks than, say, Falcons. Nope, no favorites to be seen.

To be fair, the Washington game was a Monday nighter played after a Wednesday night game. Instead of having a 10 day break, from Thanksgiving to the following Sunday, we got a five day break, while they got 8.

If it's not both of their WR, I think we can win this game. Dalvin is out but the back guy isn't all that bad.

Getting up at 4:30 am after a night game sucks especially when you are amped up on adrenaline from a close game and can't fall asleep. They should really move those games up to 7:40 pm instead of 8:25 pm. With all the reviews and delays these games hardly ever end before 11:30 or even later.

The game is at 8:20 ET. I’m in the Central time zone so 7:20 for me. If the game is started any earlier people in California will still be at work. Plus’s they don’t get their desired prime time game. I get up at 4:00 every morning. It sucks to be a little tired, but for me it’s well worth it.

The short week also comes while the Vikings are dealing with key injuries on offense, including Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen. Both teams have to deal with the short week and the Vikings are the ones doing it coming off a loss.

I wanted to go to that game to meet my daughter, it's about 1/2 way for each of us.... but she's young and couldn't get the time off work..... probably better for me to go to bed late all amped up (win or lose) at home..... than out in freezing cold minneapolis

Sorry you’re wrong. Only the Steelers have to deal with issues from a short week. It’s an advantage for the other teams. Thought you would know this.

Pittsburgh has actually done a very good job all season limiting star WRs. With the exception of Kennan Allen and the first matchup against Ja'Marr Chase, players like DeVante Adams, Stefon Diggs and Tyler Lockett all have had their lowest outputs of the season against the Steelers. I would imagine that the staff is paying close attention to Jefferson.

If anything, expect him to be doubled quite a bit all game long. However, Jefferson is not my biggest concern heading into the Vikings Game. My concern lies within the Offensive Lines consistency. Let us see if they can build off of this win on a short week.

Didn't know Thielen got hurt yesterday, very likely he and Cook both miss game.
