No draft pick is a sure bet, ever…not even the #1 overall pick. With that being said, saying you need to move on after 10 games is stupid.

Green is a beast strength wise. His issue is technique which he is learning. He gets driven back sometimes because the DT gets leverage on him post snap. He’ll learn.

A smaller person can drive back a larger, stronger person easily with the proper leverage and technique.

After 10 games we can clearly see he isn't a very good NFL center. How much time do you think he should get at the position before they put him where he has experience at G?

They have Buddy Johnson maybe he can be a factor at ILB in 2022.

I want JuJu back next year. He’s as reliable as they come, he is an excellent blocker, he’s tough. He’s essentially Hines Ward.

Obviously not the money he was originally looking for as a #1 but I’d pay him upper end #2 money. I’m not saying he’d take it but that is what I would like to see.

Yikes! He's got to improve a lot at C to make it beyond this season IMO. I hope they at least get some competition here at C in the offseason. To me, it's unconscionable that the steelers went into the season with a rook at C who never played the position and 1 other guy who was a utility OL who could handle snapping. And no, I don't consider 1 game as a Jr and 3 games as Sr playing C because the starter was out acceptable experience to justify being 1 of 32 starting C in the NFL.

BTW, just read an article that said he was recruited at Illinois as DL and resdshirted then got moved to OG second year. Not surprising because he has good athleticism and probably played both ways in HS.

Exactly right ol is currently full of decent backups. Alualu should return. Tuitt needs to be traded or released

PLUS they need a CB ILB S to replace Edmunds and a real BU RB

    in short a lot

Why should Tuitt be traded or released?

Right. The draft is a crap shoot as it is. Adding switching positions to that adds even more potential for failure.

No, he really isn't Hines Ward. Ward was a borderline Hall of Famer. Smith-Schuster has similar strengths, but he's not at Ward's level.

He shouldn't. I doubt he has any trade value right now, and given all the holes this team has to fill, he doesn't offer enough cap relief for it to be worthwhile to release him. Some folks here are just bitter that he isn't playing and they are letting that guide their thinking.

If he takes a hometown discount then yeah, they might look to sign Diontae to a long term deal in the offseason.

Well How long did we watch J. Jones suck at OLB, or T. Edmunds suck everywhere??? I believe if we can give them 4-5 Years... surely we can give a guy that has only played 10 games a little while longer. I believe it's all technique. Because I have seen Him Blast some good Dts when He gets it right.

If the Steelers make him a post-June 1st designation they'd save $9MM against the cap, which would be considered significant even if the cap hits its $208MM ceiling. That said, unless something changes or comes to light clarifying his situation I don't think they should release him either. Trade IMO is out of the question, as the only way a partner team would give up anything for him would be if they have assurance he's healthy and returning - at which point the Steelers would be better keeping him for themselves.

I agree some are speaking out of frustration.

He's usually hurt, has high cap hit, older,n contract running out

Save the cash n sign a mid level FA DL like Alualu vet n plug n play

He's grear when healthy but factors as noted above are reasons to move on

We’re going to have enough holes to fill already. No sense in letting a player as good as Tuitt go unless they feel he won’t be healthy.

He signed a three year contract extension, so you can keep crying about it.
