....just got released by the Texans...he's head and shoulders better than Snell and from what little I've seen of Ballage and McFarland significantly better than either of them also. I cant see Harris making it through a whole season healthy. To keep the ball rolling (whether for an extended amount of time or a few downs) it would be nice to have a proven talent and he reminds me a lot of James Conner...good if available. Should the Steelers try and snatch him up if he clears waivers or do you think theres some injury issue that the Texans are privy to??

Would love it but won't happen.

We have McFarland already who for some reason never sees the field.

I wouldn't be surprised if he heads back home to Denver.

EDIT: Well maybe not. Take away his longest run and you have a RB averaging 1.94 ypc on 49 carries..

Even the Steelers would not want any part of that

Very good player early in his NFL career that hasn’t had any major injuries to my knowledge. Strange that he is being released by one of the worst teams in the league. That said, Denver tendered him last offseason and then rescinded it. There is almost certainly something going on there that us mere mortals are not aware of. It’s unlikely that he would add much at this point, albeit he can’t be worse than what the Steelers have behind Harris.

remember Denver is on year two of a three year Munch rebuild so its expected that they are bad as he breaks them down and then rebuilds them.

Mortals? I'm a god, and you're Irish. As long as the beer flows freely and we keep you out of direct sunlight we'll be here long after everything else turns to ash.

McFareland was on IR until last week, played in the Lions game, then was a scratch for the Chargers game. Not sure if he reactivated something or wasn’t ready.

He has 130 yards on sorry Houston, even if they did sign him it would be to the practice squad.

I am all for it. He would be a significant upgrade over Snell and Ballage, and he would cost almost nothing. Plus he's young, so if it works out he would be around for a while. This would be a great move.

Why not, the Benny Snell experiment is over and McFarland can go too. I have yet to see anything he can do. Time is up on them and some others too. Add him, keep Ballage and spell Najee from time to time.

Mcfarland doesnt see the field because he gets tackled by everything, not sure why or how he made this roster to begin with. He is not good, he and Edmonds can share a bus ride out of Pittsburgh any time soon.

Not enough of an upgrade to warrant reducing our cap space carry over to next year.

Eddie Money, RIP. Eddie had a great quote about growing older. "I'm 40 years old and still have the same pants size, 30/36." Only back when I was 20 it was 30 inch waist and 36 inch length." "Now it's 30 inch length and 36 inch waist".

Lindsay reminds me of a lesser version of Peyton Hillis. Unexpectedly good for a season or two, then suddenly not good at all.

Odd comparison. Hillis is 6'2 250 pounds. Big, powerful but slow back. Lindsay is a 5'8 200 pound speedster.

Less in the sense they looked like each other, more in the career resemblance. Trent Richardson would be another.

    584 carries, 2680 yards, 4.6 YPC, 18 TD

80 receptions for 502 yards and 2 TDs.

Unless he's hurt, why is anyone seriously questioning if he would be an upgrade over our current backups?

Worth bearing in mind that of those stats, in the last two years he has 2 TDs and c.600 yards. This year his ypc is worse than Snell's, if such a thing was possible.

I don't know enough about how he played in Houston to interpret his fall in production, though. It seems he just wasn't given the touches and didn't fit the system.

I'm not opposed to the idea in and of itself, just interested in the reasons his play fell off so much.
