SD...2 TD's...Both given up by Bush, on top of a lot of other multiple big plays!

10th overall pick, ladies and gentlemen....

We moved up to draft him.

He's making Jarvis Jones look like a 1st round steal.

A practice cone would at least get in the way of the runner

By this time a 1st round pick should be making an impact. A buddy was texting me during the 1st half he is a Raider fan. I asked him have you noticed Bush or Edmunds and he answered with ????

My point exactly we get very little from either of them. Two misses on 1st round picks can hurt for years, Edmunds is at least serviceable in some games. I know some will mention the injury for Bush but I didn't see much in him before the injury, I think they thought they were getting another Shazier not even close.

Notice how almost all the 1st round picks on defense have been busts since Tomlin has been coach? The only ones who haven't are players that are really special.

There’s no one to take his spot, so he’s got to finish the season.

Not going to pick up his fifth year deal just like they passed on Edmunds.

I cant help but think having Devin White out there he would have been all over the field....there wouldnt have been anywhere near a 100yd rushing day for Herbert. They need a real playmaker in the middle and as far I'm concerned needs to be priority for this draft, even more than a center and QB. They can pick a real good Qb up in free agency. Theres a few coming open. I'll have to check out how many centers are coming up in the draft.

I haven't said anything about Bush throughout the posts but I did keep an eye on him tonight to see more clearly what the hub bub is about with him. I will say he is more of a liability than not. I don't care where he was drafted because if players are on the field they all should be doing the job. I don't believe he is even playing like an NFL player at this point. Whether its against the run or covering backs going out, he is way behind the 8 ball IMO. Something happened between yr 1 and now.

He’s showing no improvement week to week. He’s gone from terrible to terrible all season. At this point there’s no loss in benching him for Spillane. At least Spillane will try to tackle running backs.

Said that Bush's biggest hurdle this year would not just be the recovery from the physical aspect of the ACL. Stated that the mental aspect was going to be a challenge ad hominem the same. It appears that the proverbial demons are in Devins head after all I am afraid.

What is even worse is that there is no easy way out of this at all. Allowing him to continue will only magnify these current woes of his. Benching him could likely break him all together. Quite the tough spot indeed.

Regardless, no excuses though. To say he has been the most disappointing player on the roster is a massive understatement. Whoever on the roster is second to Devin Bush Jr in terms of disappointment..... is not a close second; being close to number two doubly so and no less.

He has been quite bad.:puking 3:

Final note to add before I go. Will be interesting to see if the team picks up Bush's fifth year option. A weird scenario I know but given the fact that the new CBA in 2020 ensures that both fourth and fifth year options fully guaranteed, it is quite the conundrum for certain. Add the fact that Devin Bush's fifth year option could likely going to be $14.09 Million per this site and it is quite a tough pill to swallow.

Some people have linked Bush to Jarvis Jones as bust level. I disagree and am alluding to another Steelers linebacker; a Steelers Pick that is now a generation old in Kendrell Bell. Different draft slots I know but similar circumstances. Both had ACL injuries and were never the same. Should Bush continue this course of performance, it is more fair to place him in the same vein of Kendrell than it would be to Jarvis.

i said it when we picked him and used all the draft capital to do it, he disappeared in big games at ichigan and every game in the pro's is a big one. spillane or the rookie or just leave schobert on the field full time, it can't be any worse. just because he could run fast MT and colbert thought he was their answer to ryan shazier. not even close.

The Steelers need to decide if they are going to approach the rest of the season as if they are playoff contenders or not. If the answer is yes, Bush needs to sit against the Bengals. He is already playing like he is broken. At least Spillane will try to fight off blocks and he will make the occasional play.

The play after the failed fourth down was everything that is wrong with Bush right now. Ekeler ripped off a big run because Bush allowed Cook to escort him 10 yards down the field. He didn't even try to fight off the block. It was a truly pathetic effort.

Yea he has been terrible. He is playing like a guy who has no heart and is making no effort at all. Something has to give at some point with Bush if this kind of play continues. He is hurting the team being out there more then helping them. He has become a true liability and I have a hard time starting him right now Sunday against the Bengals.
