He is better than what they will be trotting out there against the Chargers, with the exception of Highsmith. That trade was a mistake.

It seemed like the odds might be evened a little when Bosa went on the COVID reserve list, but now it looks like he's going to play.

While on the surface it may seem like a mistake to have made that trade I’ve got a believe that it’s not just simply a mistake. Knowing what we know about the Steelers we’ve got to Believe there’s more to the story.
Either Ingram was passed on the depth chart by another player or his trade demands came with some unacceptable ultimatums.
It seems possible that the relationship could have deteriorated to the point that there was no way to really keep him on the roster? Who really knows though?
In my opinion the Steelers deserve the benefit of the doubt here.

I think he clearly wanted out but my question is could they Steelers have used him more so that it didn’t come to that. Enjoy Taco tonight…..

I don’t have the numbers in front of me right now, but from what I remember reading a couple weeks ago his snap counts at the time of the trade we’re pretty much on par with Watt and Highsmith which makes me think even more that something else was going on behind the scenes.

He'll be splitting snaps with Tuszka again. Just to bring everyone up to date if you're into more than just 1970's counting stats, here are the Pro Football Focus grades for the gentlemen in question:

    Ingram: 74.1
    Highsmith: 61.3
    Taco: 57.3
    Tuszka: 51.9

I would have loved for them to have kept Ingram. Obviously there was an issue that us fans are not privy to that caused the trade.

Given their history of caving in these situations, I don’t think they deserve that benefit.

Ingram had one good game here, his first game, wasn’t anything special after that. Seeing as how he is playing in KC with more playing time, he’s not better than anybody else we have here. Zero production is zero production, Taco can either match that or do better. Hard to do worse.

So if Ingram did force their hand and the Steelers did cave what’s the real reason he wanted out? Hard to argue playing time cause he was getting plenty.

We don't know what went down behind the scenes, after going through this crap with Harrison, Blount maybe they decided they didn't want that type of player around anymore.

Then why Ingram? He was the more valuable player.

Actually He had more snaps than Highsmith, and only a couple less than Watt before that last game He didn't show up for.

Yeah. It's something We probably won't find out. If I had 2 guess He thought He would just take the starting job from Highsmith....even though from his first interview He was not promised this.

I read that Ingram refused to practice, once he let it be known that he wanted out.

Before today he had two tackles, he's an ungrateful piece of crap.

You're letting your emotion and fandom get the best of you, there's more to play than tackles. He collapses the pocket.

    The Steelers will miss him.
