Funny, as much as I say ben is done when I got the text late last night that he wasn't playing my heart dropped.

Hope the kid does well he will probably be the starter next season.

Of course they will be drafting a QB #1 in 2022.

Agree about Covid, disagree about Mason, who practiced more with the 1's than Ben did this week.

The league is so dumb. I’m just glad we have you since you have it all figured out.

Remember folks ,MR has not been taking that many reps in practice,
I am sure it may take some time to get used to live action. If he does get use to it?
Better hope our run game and OL come thru today.

Yeah, didn't think about this. They installed the game plan while they thought Ben was playing.

Hopefully he has the option to change plays at the LOS, or they always practice a package for the backup should the starter get hurt.

He has practiced more than Ben has. Ben rarely puts in a full week of practice so that means Rudolph has been getting those reps all year. Someone has to play QB in practice with the 1st team. No excuses for Rudolph. It's time he showed that he's making progress as a QB. We'll see how he looks today.

Hopefully the Mason to Washington college connection will be able to dial it up today.

Try again. Mason takes first team reps on Wednesdays because of Ben’s vet day off. Additionally Ben didn’t practice Thursday or Friday so those first team reps went to Mason as well.

One would assume so since he hasn’t been following protocols for unvaccinated players. However, Ben isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed either. Case in point his comments regarding the shoulder injury earlier in the week. Stupid ****er gets up there in front of the media and admits to violating injury reporting rules.

I guess you didn't watch Mason play against the Browns in the season finale last year?

And if the league finds out they lied about it, they would be in big trouble with the league.

It’s suspicious but no way they lied about it, they’d need a health professional to falsify documents.

I was shootin' the bull last night with a couple of other old guys and they were saying almost word for word what you just stated. Ben is banged up, hasn't practiced all week, they are playing the Lions so the Steelers just announced the night before the game that Ben has Covid. That way this doesn't give the Lions any time to change their game plan. I really don't think that any of this is true because they would certainly be caught if they tried and pull a stunt like this. Why would they plan such a scheme just to beat the Lions? However you are correct that there are people out there that are very suspicious about the timing.

We have seen this before with Landry, Vick, Rudolph and Duck. Yes they get snaps in practice and yes it's not like they just were plucked off the street but it has been Tomlin's mantra that they don't change the offense to fit the QB the QB must change to fit the offense. Even with Ben out for the season they still didn't alter much. I really hope I'm wrong and they have a game plan that puts Mason in a position to use his strength but until that happens I will stay with history on this one.

I wasn't trying to make excuses for MR, I was just stating he hasn't seen live/game action. He should be fine after
    he gets use to speed.

I was checking our rivals in the AFC north reaction to Ben's news. The Browns fans didn't let me down. One said that this is God punishing the Steelers because they cheated to beat the Bears. Several are saying that the Steelers are covering for Ben because he doesn't have Covid but has a STD from raping another woman. The sad thing is that the Clown's fan aren't joking they actually believe this BS.

Difference is Back with Landry, and Vick ...Ben didn’t take Vet days off, and miss as Much practice as He does Now. If any Back up is ready...Mason should be the closest. All We can Do is Hope He does Well , and We Lead the Division after today.
