Looking forward to the QB matchup. Howell looks like Baker Mayfield 2.0, at least in appearance.

 

Pitt got hosed out of another safety again.
Should have got the TD prior to that though.

 

Pickett looks good. Steelers should really pursue him.

 

Kenny is going off tonight, and Pitt's defense is making life miserable for Howell.

 

Pickett with another beautiful TD. Should be back in the favorable Heisman conversation.

 

Offense is clicking as they usually have this year, but D and Special Teams stealing the show so far. Keep it up boys. Kinda thinking the D coaches were looking past last 2 games and planning for tonight. Steel Curtain -esque.

EDIT: Looks like they were looking past the 2nd half of this game as well. What a nail biter. Thank heavens for that timely cloudburst.

Pitt quit blitzing after the 1st qtr and this is what you get. Game shouldn't even be close but then they started playing standard cover defense.

Pitt up 46-21 over NC State start of 4th Qtr. Heintschel has over 400 yds passing with 3 TDs, 0 ints so far. Pitt hasn't beat NC State since 2001 so about time. This Frosh QB is playing lights out. HTP! Nice.

 

Pitt takes it 53-34. Holstein in for series at mop up time and throws an Int. Hopefully Heintschel stays for a few years.

 

Hopefully Pitt can continue to play good football? They will be MAJOR underdogs in 3 of their final 4 games this season.
Pitt has some nice players, just not enough of them, Hopefully 2 of Pitt's best players Lb's will be back playing for this very rough
stretch along with Reid. Reid is so so important as is the freshman QB.
