Are we talking about what will happen or what should happen? He won't start, but he probably should.

There is only 2 ways Ben will not be starting for this team. When he walks away himself or on a cart. Unfortunately because of his lack of mobility and this O Line the ladder will probably be happening any game. He is clearly breaking down physically a little more each game.

Winning in spite of Ben, not because of him. Nobody is open because every D knows our limited playbook by heart. On the one occasion someone got wide open deep, Ben came up five yards short. Tried to throw INTs again, took bad sacks, and at least twice threw way short of the sticks on 3rd down instead of scanning the field. Bears bailed him out.

I can see us beating Detroit getting to 6-3 but from what Ben has shown we could end up 6-11. Detroit should make some stupid mistakes to enable us to win but the next 8 games could be ugly.

Years ago some talking head said the Jets will not win another game that season. There was still 8-9 games left in season. Jets lost out that year. I'm pretty sure depending how we look against the Lions same will be said about us.

Only ray of hope is that someone sees the light (or Ben pulls himself because he's too banged up) and Mason can take some defenders out of the box with better downfield passing. The O with Ben is way, way too predictable. Even so, the D is too leaky at times and the special teams sucks.

Re: the Jets, that was 1986, very similar to last year's Steelers, 'cept they actually won a playoff game.

Ryan Clark was breaking that play down after the game and calling out Chicago’s DC, gave the defense no chance of defending that play. Fortunately for us.

    You’re fooling yourself.

    His arm strength is crap
    His accuracy is crap
    His timing is crap
His refusal to play from under center hamstrings the running game.

last and certainly not least he plays dumb football far too often. Makes mistakes no 18year veteran should be making.

    stick a fork in him

Ben managed the game sufficiently last night. Wasn't really a great performance even though he had 2/0 TD/INT. A very meh performance but we won because of other players on the team.

I don’t think Ben is necessarily ‘washed up’. He’s still a middle of the pack NFL QB and has been for about a year. That’s not terrible, middling NFL QB is a very high paying job, and by definition 16 NFL starters are ‘below average. The difference is expectation, he’s not a HoF caliber guy anymore, there’s lots of stuff he can’t do. If he throws 40–50 times a game they’re in trouble. He’ll have to learn to play within his limitations and the last few weeks he’s done that.

He’s also had the lead most of the time or been within a FG. If they get behind 7-10 pts in the past it’s been bombs away. We’ll see if that’s changed.

Remember when Ben used to shake off defenders and make plays out of the pocket? Now it's this.

If we can beat the Lions and go to 6-3, we just need to find 4 more wins IMO. 10 wins get us in playoffs.

I know this won't happen but I'd like to see Ben and Mason rotate a little during games. Throw off the defense. I'd love to be a fly on the wall when Mike says, hey Ben we are going to rotate you with Mason.

Looks like he wanted to run and then the defender came up on him and was like oh ****, abort abort abort!

But yes, should have stayed in the pocket.

I think it has been time to move on but some thoughts make me wonder:
Does anyone think the Bills have a chance to go post season?
Does anyone think the Stains have a chance to go post season?
Ben beat both of those teams at their place so I keep wondering WTF are we heading? One game at a time.

It looked like Claypool was open for a second on the right, Ben never looked his way.

Dude...You sound like a broken record....How many times do I have 2 point out 2 you....Every Qb has dropped picks....Hell for example Lamar had 2 dropped picks, and a called back fumble in the Very 1st drive of His game this week..THE 1st Drive.
This happens every game....Your problem is You think...Floaters getting caught, Wrs adjusting 2 throws, bad throws, bad decisions, bad calls, Circus catches, and Lbs covering Wrs....Only are done by Ben, or by the Steelers....wake up....Watch a game , or 2 sometime...not just look at stats after a game, look at Highlights, listen 2 what others say, or read from Your Bible =PFF
    Actually watch some football

"Marylin Monroe also had a mole, same as the Wicked Witch."

Ben had plenty of turnovers in his prime, but offset them with big time throws, just like the star QBs today. The good outweighs the bad. Ben doesn't make the big plays nearly enough anymore.

Ok...You keep telling Yourself that...6 tds ...no picks have nothing 2 do with winning...LoL.
You are the same person that tried telling us how great Lamars game was in a game they score over 30 points...Yet he had 2 turnovers, and No Tds.....that My Friend is the true definition of Winning in spite of....LoL....Not 6 tds , and No picks.

Which game? Lamar had 3 TD passes and 120 yards rushing last week. Lamar has to be accounted for on every play. The entire field is in play.

With Ben, you know the pass is going to be short, within 5 yards, or 40 yards down the sideline. You also know he can't move. It really limits what the D has to defend.

Not last week...You know that...but you threw that out for the people that actually believe Your ...the world is ending BullSh!+.
Notice you left out His 3 dropped ints, a called back fumble, and the 2 actual ints He threw, and that it again took a overtime field goal 2 win.....

Ben is in the Bad quadrant, which anyone with eyes who watches the games didn't need this to tell them. Few big time throws, lots of turnover worthy plays. From guys who watch every play of every QB.
