I’ve had good luck at Pittsburgh Plaza hotel in Green Tree. And Hyatt Place on Campbell run road.

We are so excited to go. I’ll look for the best place to get some good Steelers merchandise when I’m there. Any tips on parking for the game? Thanks so much.

Also. How early is it good to go for the Monday night game? Get there at like 615- 2 hours before kickoff or not necessary ? Thanks.

    Fwiw…

    1. When I took my son in 2015, we got all our swag at the stadium. Only downside is schlepping it, if you over-buy. (If that’s possible!)

    2. TONS of people walk over the bridge from the point. It’s a fun experience.

Do either of them have a shuttle or do you find game parking on your own?

I always buy a parking pass for one of the presold lots.

Do you park somewhere else and then walk over that bridge? Not too familiar with that

Oh okay thanks. Maybe that’s better to do it ahead of time. Any recommendations for a good one to do? Excuse my ignorance. Just don’t know too much about where to go or what to do. Thanks..

If you buy a parking pass near the stadium, check the map at the following if it affects which way you want to go when you come in or leave, traffic wise:

    https://alcoparking.com/locations/heinz-field-pnc-park/steelers-parking/

Bestbet if you aren’t in a hurry after the game is to just hang out for 1-2 hours, tailgate and enjoy the day

I park in Gold 1 Garage. If I leave immediately after the game or wait an hour, I get out of the garage at the same time.

Stubhub or EBay is where I usually get mine. If you want to tailgate the lots open 5 hours before game time. I’ve done Red lot 6 several times and always had a great experience. I typically pay around $100.

The garages are not good for tailgating

    Take Glenn’s advice above

I'd get there 3 hours before kickoff or depending on how long you want to tailgate. Gates open 2 hours before. Walk around the Steelers Hall of Fame. Steelers shop. Walk around stadium. Food and drinks. 2 hours goes by quick.

3 hours? Don’t listen to this wuss. Get there 5 hours before game time when the lots open. It’s still not enough time.

He is taking his daughter. 5 hours of tailgating for a 7 year old might be a bit much for her first game?

We’re going to the Monday night game. Don’t think we’ll do too much tailgating. My daughter is 18 years old.

Okay. Thanks. You think it’s better to have a parking pass ahead of time instead of just showing up to park? Looks like I’m about 15-20 minutes to the stadium at the hotel if Uber is a better option than parking too. Thanks.

There is, I believe an Uber pick up/drop off area by the stadium. Most of the lots around the stadium are persons. You can’t pay the day of the game with the exception of the science center lot which fills quickly. You can as you enter for the downtown lots and depending on which lot, you can just walk over a bridge or take the T (subway). You can also park at station square and take a boat over.

Okay. Thanks. Not sure if what the best option is. Maybe the boat sounds interesting. Is there a place to park from where you take the boat and do I need to reserve that? Thanks a lot for your help. I have no clue

    Looking it up
Now I see the station square you were referring. Thanks. I assume just go there and park. Take the boat over and then return on the boat after?

Okay. You don’t need to reserve or pay ahead of time right? Just go to station square, pay for parking m, and you’re good to go?

I believe you do, but confirm with boat company. I have never actually done this myself because I have a parking pass. I actually sold mine for this game at cost, before you made this post.
