Silverado! One of the few times that Costner actually acts!

Not sure who's rifle I liked more, Lucus McCain's (Chuck Connors) in Rifleman or Josh Randell's (Steve McQueen) in Wanted Dead or Alive. Both were so awesome as a kid. Both intros were worth tuning in each week.

Talk about old school! I can't recall that even being on TV since the 70s.

I haven't met a western I didn't like. So picking a favorite movie is tough. Gun to my head, maybe Unforgiven? But almost any Eastwood movie could make the cut.

Kevin Costner's Wyatt Earp may have been wider in scope and arguably more accurate. But I still prefer Tombstone. It's a tighter story and can stand up to any Spaghetti Western. Kilmer's Doc Holliday is a legendary performance. Even if Quaid's is more realistic. I guess it comes down to preference or entertainment value.

For TV shows, don't sleep on Deadwood. Just a shame it didn't get 2 seasons to end properly. The movie was alright. Just alright.

Growing Up as a Kid The Lone Ranger was my favorite. I watched it every morning as I ate breakfast, and got ready for school. LoL

I don’t hate him. For instance, I like him in Yellowstone. Just, most of his roles he just reads dialogue. Another exception would be Tin Cup

Its How I feel about Keanu Reeves. He has played in a $hit ton of movies I have loved, but He in not a very good actor. IMO

Probably the greatest stretch of acting for him was Ted Theodore Logan.

But that doesn't matter. Keanu can be as wooden as he wants. His movies are still great.

I watched reruns of the Rifleman as a kid. Then it had been on AMC on Saturday mornings up till a year or two ago. Chuck Conners was a Badass.

I have a few but The Tin Star (Peter Fonda and Anthony Perkins) and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valence (Jimmy Stewart and John Wayne) are two good ones.

Also, Audie Murphy played in some as well.

Second Young Guns over the first huh? Interesting. I liked the first way better.

    Magnificent Seven, great mention.

The second was really cinematic. Had that big sky feel to it. At the very least, it's a rare example of a sequel that holds up to the original.

If we didn’t have the praises, complaining about the coaching staff, why this and why that. We wouldn’t have this gathering of all these personalities. I IMO I think this is a good thing. Let’s us vent frustrations and blow off steam without hurting anyone.

I’ll have to check it out. There’s a first time for everything, and seeing Costner “acting” would be a first for me.

This thread is hilariously so far off topic from where it started that we may end up talking about Masked Singers on a mission to Mars.

Wow, that surprises me, I haven’t gotten around to watching it yet but I would have sworn it was longer than 2 seasons.

Definitely check it out, great movie with a superb cast.

I'd have a hard time choosing between The Sons of Katie Elder and Rio Bravo.

Always try to watch War Wagon when it's on and Pale Rider.

I actually have seen it (30+ years ago) and I remember Kevin Kline, Danny Glover, Jeff Goldblum, and John Cleese. I had completely forgotten the Costner was in it.
