At my Mom's wedding. So roast beef, meatballs, pasta, mashed potatoes, chicken tenders, etc. And about 6 jack and cokes so far (small ones. Would it kill them to get a pint glass?).

Good news is I should be home before kickoff. Finally get to watch at home.

I make this same thing, but I put a block Velveeta in it at the very end of cooking it.

Hmm. Very interesting yet strange extra ingredient my friend. I'll have to give it a try in a single serving bowl rather than in the entire stock pot just for starters.Does it gum up your fork or soup spoon when eating like authentic French Onion Soup always does to me?

No...Not at all it Melts well when cooked in. Only when it gets cold, then it's Hard 2 clean up. I tried it because I also use crawdads/crayfish/crawfish/mudbuggs in the same recipe if I can get my hands on them, and My favorite crawfish pie is the cheesy kind....So I thought I'd try it, and WaBammm....Delicious. :smiley1:
Has 2 be Velveeta, or won't melt correctly...then it will get sticky...Velveeta becomes part of the base.

Now that sounds good too. I usually go with the clam linguine but I'll bet the shrimp would work great. I know it's sacrilegious to use canned anything but I discovered Progresso makes a very tasty White Clam sauce (hard to find) in a can that is much quicker than making it from scratch. Used to swear by Trader Joe's Clam Sauce but they discontinued it many years ago.

That does sound tasty, I'll have to give it a try as an alternative when I cook for myself. Wifey does not like clam sauce. But she'll wolf down Brussels sprouts and pollute a home grown garden salad with those candle wax tasting chickpeas. :puking2:

Other than the cheap Merlot (sorry I've already admitted I'm a bona-fide wine snob, as is JEH apparently), I'm with you. Assuming Super Skunk is wacky tobacky?

Since you're salivating after a day of merely wedding snacks, I forgot to mention the diced chunks of ham into the cajun pool. :smiley1:

I've been informed by my much better half that halftime will be a big breakfast. Eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy. After a day of drinking, can't ask for better.

Late here but earlier I had chicken tikka karahi, garlic rice, garlic naan and a few beers.

Lovely pakistani style curry. As is traditional here on a weekend these days. Indian/pakistani food and plenty of beer. Lets go!
