The Rashard Coward loss reminds of the old joke: I left two tickets for Sunday’s game on the dashboard of my car. I parked and ran some errands. And when I returned my windshield was smashed and somebody left two more tickets.

Never know, may come back full circle, I too had my eye on him. Not only local
but comes from a very athletic family.

I saw the signing a few minutes ago I don't want to dog a guy who barely suited up but if you can't beat out Chuks or Hassenuer for a spot or at least push Turner or Dotson is the loss really that big a deal?

We are not a good team and certainly can use help at OG and CB. If these two couldn’t make our roster, they weren’t worth keeping.

See this is the kind of stuff that makes me question how good our front office really is.

I don't care about losing Coward, but I liked Gilbert as a developmental player.

Because they didn’t keep two useless castoffs. You would ***** and moan the same if they kept them.

But other teams obviously didn't see it that way. When you waive someone you pick the lowliest of players so you don't lose them. Not someone who was just playing in a game a couple days ago. Especially not oline where you exceptionally weak.

There was a bunch of people bemoaning the fact that they didn't have people developed and ready to step into the starting roles.

These are the guys you're trying to develop for doing just that.

This is what happens with the bottom of the roster fodder you are so enamored with. They bounce from team to team and have non-descript careers.

that bottom of the roster fodder sealed the game with an interception as i recall last week. james harrison, he was that fodder before being DPOY. hilton was that fodder too. AV, foster, feiler were that fodder as well. i'll bet you wish we had some of this fodder here now. keep trying to get me MD.:cool:

Pierre had a brutal game overall and isn't the long term solution most likely.

The "other teams" are the 0-5 Jaguars and Lions.
Both teams are currently terrible franchises.

The question is, will these moves make them better, or are they bad because they make these kind of moves.

Hey if your on practice squad and get to go to an active roster you jump on that doesn't batter if a team is really bad you jump on it if your a player.

Hard to say Tomlin has a knack for keeping guys that are "his boys" and overlooking other talent. That is also the problem with a coach that is a little too personal with his players.

Players on the practice squad make like 9K per game and players on the 53 man roster make a minimum of 41K per game.

Who is not going to want the increase in pay?

He is also fond of not playing the better player because the starter was injured and is coming back. This seems to fly in the face of trying to win games but hasn't bitten him quite as bad as it could. I don't even want to address the dumpster fire that was having Fieler switch positions in order to get him cheaper.

cards needed a TE when maxx williams got injured.
i wonder if we could have traded one of our 4 TEs for some draft capital or gotten a replacement for one of the guys we lost off the practice squad.

I’m sure the Cards GM didn’t lose sleep debating whether to take Ertz or Ebron
