Its a shame he got injured and is out for the season.

But his dreams of being a #1 outside threat are pipe dreams. Nice player from the slot gets the tough catches.

Who knows at this point what will happen next season. Like said its Washington's time to step it up.

Cody White misses one catch and already he's a bum

May be a tough ending to the JuJu era here in the burgh

That Jackson put a whallop on him for sure, may be broken arm or wrist or something pretty major.

Unfortunate for JuJu, a helluva Steeler player. Very good ball player. Could play on my team any day.

James Washington is a capable back up and will do just fine. This is why before the season
I commented that he couldn't be traded. To valuable Juju has been an excellent Steeler and productive.
I hope if his career is over with the Steelers that he remembers he had a loyal following.

That's kinda a cheap shot. Coming into a year where the salary cap was reduced with the Steelers up against it keeping a player who may not be able to go for 6 months isn't an option. Framing his release as some sort of unsupported bad front office move is disingenuous at best.

No I think it was pretty cut and dry. He suffered from a lingering injury all last season that surgery didn't fix. He waited until camp to give it time to heal naturally and it still wasn't right. He was opting for another procedure that would place him on the shelf for most if not all of the season. If it was a typical year where teams weren't up against a reduced cap I think he would still be on the team. As it was you can't keep a guy who has a significant cap hit on the shelf for a year. Nothing nefarious just the sucky reality of the game today.

It’s just one thing after another this season. The injuries are hitting hard

I hope juju comes back next season but it’ll depend on the QB situation. As others have pointed out I doubt he is signing up for another season of this current offence. He is capable of so much more than what we are seeing from him

It's strange that only Dulac is going out on that limb this morning and Pro Football Focus has an article quoting his story. No other beat writer is saying anything

I guess I'll have to wear my JuJu jersey the rest of the season! BTW Thorn, love your signature. The top one.

What's somewhat sad is that if Ben hits him 2 seconds earlier the two guys outside have sealed the inside lane and Juju has a huge lane to run in. He throws a little shuffle and the guy that tackles him has to choose what lane to cover. Catching it where he did left him just the option to go between the two. Not blaming anyone here just that the timing was slightly off and a big gain turned into an injured player

You think he didn’t know what this offense would be this year? He had two offers for more money on better teams.

Wouldn’t surprise me if he is back, Ben will be gone and he has expressed how much he likes it here.

So now I have seen Yahoo sports quoting Dulac,

Edit: Now Rapport is saying a major shoulder injury but he is not quoting Dulac.

It’s not just injuries but critical injuries. Tyson, bush, no tuitt, watt for a game, Johnson, clay pool etc

it’s like when cowboys lost zeke and their left tackle, their offense was neutered.

    Where do you have Ray-Ray?

Ju-Ju should have taken the 12 million from KC this year.

Pretty Sure Ryan Shazier nullifies this entire thought that the team doesn't take care of injured players.

Damn you're right. I thought it was a fake to Harris and quick screen to Juju. I should have watched the clip rather than basing my response on the crappie feed I had on yesterday and my even crappier recollection.

I think I was confusing it with one of the quick hits to Claypool.

Denver had like 12 guys on their injury report. Cincy and the Raiders were missing guys, too. It's part of the game.

Steeler fans seem to think it only affects the Steelers.

He also asked for more time outside, something that isn't happening. It was also supposed to be a new offense, which largely until yesterday looked like last year's.

In hindsight, big mistake not going to KC, where he would be eating. I doubt he makes that mistake again.

Washington has a huge audition ahead of him - let's see if he can prove his worth enough for the Steelers to re-sign him.
