Generally no. And just because 3 go in the first, didn't mean they're first round material.

Agreed. It would be very unlike the organization..... But then again they signed TJ to a mega deal.

That doesn't mean they're first round material. It means teams are reaching.

Who? And these list generally hold up. Only thing people think is that of a player is stayed in the top 5, means they're a top 5 player. And it doesn't mean that, it means they're reaching.

    Flacco had a defense.

I think Strong could be a realistic option for the Steelers, he could be available mid first round, Corral would probably require being in the top 5.

QB from Nevada. Projected to be a first round pick.

And no they don’t hold up at all, not this early on. They change dramatically after the season ends and draft activities

    Isn't A-A-ron a free agent?

Says who? We’re all just throwing darts at a board here, none of us has a crystal ball.

How many people thought Reid made a terrible reach for Mahomes?

Willful ignorance does not help the discussion move forward. Flacco was a solid NFL starting quarterback. He got hot at the right time once and that helped the Ravens win a Super Bowl. In case you forgot, that defense gave up 29 points in that Super Bowl (the 49ers got the other two on a safety), while Flacco threw for 287 yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

He wasn't a great quarterback, but he was a very good one even though he couldn't beat out a crappy quarterback to start at Pitt. It is an example of why Maddog's red flag for Willis doesn't hold up.

He had a really good championship run. Beat luck, manning and Brady with 11 tds 0 int and a 117 rating

We will see. I’m not ruling anything out and nobody can say anything for certain right now. The situation they are going in to in 2022 is unprecedented, for once they have some cap room, they haven’t been in that position in as long as I can remember. Thats the main reason they haven’t been big players in free agency over the years. They have had a franchise QB, they draft well and pay their own guys. I’d be surprised if they are not more active in free agency next season.

Cowher years are all but irrelevant at this stage, free agency and player contracts werent what they are today and even if the Steelers wanted to go out and get somebody I don’t recall a single big name QB being traded over that era.

I don’t buy this theory that the ownership is perfectly happy with mediocrity, I hear it said a lot and it’s just a lazy cheap shot at the team as far as I am concerned. The team spends up to the cap each year and are trying to win a Super Bowl each year, I am sure nobody is more disappointed than the owners when they fall short. The Rooneys may not always manage the team the way fans want them to but that is not the same thing as not being overly bothered about winning.

No shame in x-ferring, as you alluded to, not going somewhere similar was the red flag.

I'm just saying what the experts were saying while he was playing football his last year at OSU. I wanted LJ, was lukewarm with the Mason pick.

The site he’s referring to (Walter Football) compared Mahomes to Derek Carr and Jay Cutler, and said he was probably a 2nd rounder who might make it into the 1st. They loved Trubisky though.

Way too early for this. Check back after medicals at the scouting combine.

Not just that, but there’s plenty of on field play left to occur that will allow the quality guys to separate themselves. At this time around 2 years ago, people were just starting to realize that Joe Burrow may be a potential franchise QB. The year before that, Kyler Murray was just a short, fast college QB who was still not in the first round conversation, nevermind 1st overall pick.

Go look at their history. They have a long standing of where QB should be drafted.
