Dupree is coming off an ACL injury, and didn't play in their last game.

They watch every single play on tape for every player multiple times.

Once again, you step right in the :poopy:.

I wasn't comparing what Dupree is doing for the Titans this season, to what Highsmith is doing for the Steelers, it's obvious Dupree isn't fully recovered from the ACL injury. I was talking about production with the Steelers.

Highsmith missed the bungles game and reinjured the groin against the faders and was limited in the 2nd half. Look at the production of the two to date. Highsmith is playing better. Both have zero sacks.

Yes he is missed and would be a welcome site. The loss of Alualu looms large. as well.

That being said no one knows what he is dealing with. Everyone handles grieving different. He needs time to heal. Plus he is supposedly injured. It would be great if Tomlin came out and made a statement. I'm sure if asked about Tuitt he will come out with an often used "We will leave the light on for him". But no one is asking in the media...

I don't think we will see him this season and who knows after that.

The media has asked, so please don't try to misrepresent this as them not doing their jobs. The team does not have to give updates, so they won't. Tomlin certainly won't. I'm guessing he is trying to protect Tuitt's privacy.

Didn't Butler admit that Tuitt was overweight? Maybe that led to knee soreness, but I'm guessing this is more of a psychological issue. I understand why fans are frustrated. We aren't getting any information. Those of us who have lost loved ones normally haven't gotten months to deal with it before returning to work. That is why I mentioned a psychological issue. I know the circumstances might have made his grief harder to process, but normally people in the world do return to work sooner than this.

To be clear, I'm not criticizing Tuitt. I'm just trying to understand the frustration from fans.

Highsmith is not good. Can't beat Green bay back up O-line while hewyward and TJ getting a lot of attention. never understood in infatuation with the guy from the fans here. Tuzar Skipper and Ola type love fest and same caliber player

They need more out of him, but lumping him in with Skipper and Adeniyi shows you really don't know what you are talking about.

Highsmith probably should have been shut down for a few weeks. Having him try to play through the groin injury has been a big mistake.

I agree totally with your point. That's what I was stating. I haven't heard a peep from the Pittsburgh media so I must have missed it.

People don't understand until they are faced with a real tragedy. I have faced several.

He had one more tackle than TJ in 21 fewer snaps (61 vs 40) playing on 2 Bad Groinz. Do you only listen for the word "sack" when you watch games?

I think Alex Highsmith needs some Tuitt in his life.

Plus how healthy was he last game? I'm sure not close to 100%

He also excels to the swim, duck and tuck, spin o-rama move.
Which means as a LT you just have to keep your feet and hands in front of you not get out position, and you can keep it blocked.

But, you got to have a few more tricks in the pass rushing game.

His weakness in the head on bull rush, or the famous dip-arm bar around (James Harrison type move)

I think he doesn't have that strength level of course, but he needs to work on it.

Also his containment at times in the running game needs some solid work.

They’re the same . Hyped in camp and pre season as a future HOF Steelers pass rusher , fans have odd love affair for them , excuses made for them in the forums when they don’t deliver on the field , make zero impact with meaningful snaps . Highsmith ran 4.7 40, does not have the athletic ability Dupree did to make up for the lack of talent that he also had , looked good for one year at a school that produces zero NFL players . I’m inviting you to prove me wrong . Please
