Yeah, I would not expect Rudolph to have much success either but Ben is simply not doing anything well enough right now.

The way I see it if we stick with Ben the rest of the season (1) he will get hurt and (2) we will be hard pressed to win 3 games.

Why not see what Rudolph/Haskins can do? Can they possibly be worse than Ben at this point? Maybe they are and we go 3-14 rather than 4-13 with Ben. Or maybe they can play QB from under center, move in the pocket, throw accurate passes, heck even throw to the middle of the field?

The Steelers are 2-9 in their last 11 games now with Ben. We know what the team looks like with him -- lots of 2 yard passes and inaccurate bombs downfield.

Give Rudolph or Haskins a shot since, at 1-3 in the 3-1 AFCN, we literally have only one way to go. Up.

I agree. Not just to try to win games but just because this CLEARLY is not working.

This day comes for everyone. Even though there isn't squat behind him on the bench, the day has come. Go out with some dignity, Ben. Fake a season ending injury, go get some phony surgery, and start a fake recovery. Your kids will thank you one day when they don't have to watch videos of their pops sh!tting the bed.

The "we got this" attitude is not working for Tomlin or Ben.

Hit the practice field Impromptu Ben.

he is smart enough to take ROONEYS MONEY if Tombert / Rooney are dumb enough to pay him

that said, they don't have the balls to bench him

It is time, won't happen but it is time. Did anyone notice #7 on the headphones
getting chewed out (assumption) by Coach Canada up in press box.

The time to bench Ben would have been going into the 4th qtr yesterday. The offense was stalling every drive and Ben was clearly the biggest problem out there. I have no idea what is spinning around in MT's head but it is clear that he has no intentions of making any changes.

this is it, it was never GREAT - now it is below average.

Sad, but this happens to aging vets. Very few beat Father Time. our offense sucks, top 5 worst in the league, IMO.

You have to be able to hit receivers in stride, he has not been able to do this for some time.

Maybe Ben got bit by the groin injury bug. Speaking of groin injuries, this team seems to have a lot of weak groins. What's up with that?

nope - he never threw a great 'bomb' / deep ball. Wallace would get a ton of PI's, coming back. Wallace was a one trick pony is part, b/c that is all we knew what to do with him. Now can can't throw the 15 yard seam route or out.....Ben has never been great without a GREAT run game....he has always been too sloppy with the ball. But in the past, could make up for it. the past.....is the past.

I think a huge part is his confidence has been shot since the end of last year. On the touchdown to DJ, he actually stepped up in the pocket because he knew it was a free play. I don't think he does that if it wasn't a free play and I don't think he did that the rest of the game.

The only way the organization benches big Ben is if they are comfortable with a situation like they have with Terry Bradshaw.

The problem is if he continues playing as poorly as he has, ultimately you lose the team. Guys aren’t going to go all out if they feel the organization isn’t doing everything it can to win.

We could lose prime draft position to continue the rebuild.

What is spinning in his head is that the Owner made the deal for the QB to come back. So first off without the owners directive he probably cant bench him. Second very few coaches have the balls to Bench a star franchise QB even if he's playing terrible. It's different if you have someone waiting in the wings that you believe to be the Heir apparent. We do not have that. For all the talk about lets see what Mason has, everyone forgets we have seen that movie already. We had a whole season where Ben was out and Mason couldn't hold off an undrafted free agent that isn't even in the league currently to keep the job. If Haskins was any better he would be #2 on the depth chart but he isn't.

I know everyone wants answers and to fix this. It's not happening this year. Ben will play until he is hurt and cant play or till the end of the season. I'm not happy about it and its piss poor planning and execution from the coaching all the way up to the Idiot owner that has his head up his butt as well and allowed all this to happen. This is what we are stuck with for this year. And probably a few years into the future. Even if we draft the second coming of Mahomes this team has more holes and deficiencies than can be fixed in a year.

I'm not being a Ben apologist but how much of the blame really belongs to the line? Not many QBs are able to throw without blocking.

I doubt anything would happen until after the Browns game.

The following 2 games after that are Chicago and Detroit, which would be good starts for Mason or Haskins.

All that being said, they aren't gonna bench Ben.

Line played a lot better yesterday. The line didn't constantly over throw receivers. And how fair is it to the line when every defense (pretty much anyone who can say the word football) knows that the QB cant go deep, cant move, is having trouble throwing over the middle and can basically hand it off or throw 3 yds. Thats called the defense being able to tee off on the offense. The best O line to ever play the game cant make up for the fact that defenses arent scared of Ben and they can pretty much not worry about anything but the short game. Even if a receiver gets open down the field Ben's accuracy is terrible now.

Everyone wants it besides Ben and Art. Unfortunately nothing will be done until the bye week. By that time we should be 1-5 lol.

But when he does have time he’s missing wide open receivers. As a HOF QB you can’t miss those. He missed 14 points yesterday easy.

It’s Arts call not Tomlins. Rumblings are that there’s 1 person who wanted Ben back. And he’s the head d**k.
